The 2012 Battle of the Brands brackets have finally been announced! Starting June 18th at midnight, sixteen of the best brands in snowboarding will be pitted in three day, head-to-head matches all summer long. With the aid of a certified bingo ping pong ball randomizer, the Battle of the Brands first round match-ups have been decided. The 2012 Battle of the Brands will be hosted exclusively on facebook.com/snowboardermag starting Monday, so spread the word and make your vote count. Let the battle begin!

    HaHa finally a competition without Burton! Yeah sure Burton does have good quality but since they were one of the first on the market they were also able to collect the most fans before everybody else. In my opinion they have lots of quantity, okay-ish quality but they are definitely not the leaders in innovation that is for sure. In fact I would consider them a symbol more than anything, if you get what i’m saying. So in my opinion it will be Ride for the win.

    With some brands like Volcom and thirtytwo, it could very easily turn into a straight popularity contest. and by that I’m not saying those videos won’t be ham because obviously with riders like Dylan and Dblock for Volcom and riders like bush and Tflan for thirty two it’s gonna get heavy. Hopefully people make their decision because of snowboarding and not by being a household name.

    A Bigger contest with All snowboard brands would be amazing (APO, Head, Salomon, Rossignol, Burton, Furlan, Dupraz, Shotgun Snowboards) etc..

    Burton is for posers and gapers who don’t know there are better brands out there, get over it. I love that this is a contest for the little guys. I am surprised not to see Lib up there though. But that’s alright, Smokin can represent for them, same concepts different board.
