Fortunately Austin found a downtime hobby that helped keep him sane while he was sidelined.     Well, I don’t know for sure, but here’s what I found.

    Maybe some golfing but probably more so sailing since he’s already been into that & likes it.

    Smith made the most of his down time after his first blown ACL and spent a month cruising Central America with his girl. Not a bad life.

    get up eat some breakfast, then get on the train and go out to Nike and then it depends, it’s pretty much different everyday. Sometimes I’ll meet with the trainer in the pool and do all these weird pool workouts, running and jumping in the pool. Then maybe I’ll go to a spin class after that and then I go and see my physical therapist and work with him for about two hours.

    Austin Smith was OBVIOUSLY out with a knee injury so all sports (including golf and surfing) are out of the question. Sports does not help the knee heal (maybe swimming). Anyway, the hobby I feel Austin picked up while injured is flying RC helicopters.
