Rome FGF Ticker

Another Friday, another giveaway. This week we are giving you the chance to win a back to school package (pictured above) from Rome Snowboards so that you can walk into that first day of school looking good. To go along with that theme we want to hear about a different kind of schooling. In the comment section below tell us which member of the Rome Team you would want to take a snowboard lesson from. We will pick our favorite answer to get hooked up with these new threads.

Johnny Lazz or LNP…I feel like it would be the most fun day ever and I’d just be laughing my ass off all day!!

  • Shannon

LNP cause of his fat chin flow and fat lip slides!

  • http://www.facebook.com/dude.its.ryles.wilkins Ryles Wilkins

    LNP!
cause of his skate influenced style of riding,
and his massive bag of tricks!

  • http://twitter.com/jamesfjeld James

LNP so he can show me how to grind rails then I can try to beat him in the famous vs contest.

  • http://www.facebook.com/mathieu.dutil.94 Mathieu Dutil

LNP !! Look at that beard, the guy can land any fucking trick on any rail from any angle and still, he looks good with a huge beard ! A total inspiration and he’s from my hood yep !

  • KT.

Going to have to say Bjorn Leines. Not just to learn tricks, but to ask him about the early days of his career. He did do a one footed McTwist years ahead of the curve. He was part of the Forum 8. Would also like to ask about Celtek and what it was like coming up alongside Erik Leines.

  • the dave

lnp, just because it seems like he’d be down to skip the lesson and take a few fun runs and then hit the lodge for some whiskey and stories.

  • Will

    Will lavinge,
Cause our names are almost the same, and cause that guy can throw down on rails like a %#&@in boss. New nickname, the Bose.

  • ELI

I’d be stoked to take a lesson from anybody on the team. They’re all better than I am. Just being around people that are super good like that is guaranteed to get me motivated and bring the level of my riding up a couple notches.

  • mboffa

id want a lesson from bjorn because the i broke my leg and got a titanium rod the same year he broke his arm, and i went back the next season and hit the same feature that eneded my season the year before. we have that in common, and the dude can flat out shred

  • MQ

Anyone on the team. Riding with people better then you makes your stoke higher and makes you want to progress more. Plus what team out there is more fun then Rome SDS!

  • disqus_81idJYNl2A

Street I would choose LNP and for the back country i would choose Rusty!

  • Drew Jordan

LNP because he is the best street rider in the world rite now. Also, he is a pretty sick dude to be around.

  • Addy

Lucas Debari because he shreds on the mountain and seems like a dude who would help a stranger fix his snowmobile in -30C.

  • Wearsahat75

Bjorn, he rides for truth justice and freedom! Oh yeah, and he rides for world peace too. I bet he would like to kiss some babies and their mothers! Bjorn for President!

  • http://profiles.google.com/smccauley321 Shawn McCauley

I think it’d be cool to get a lesson from Bjorn Lienes or Lucas DeBari. I remember Bjorn from the Forum 8 days, and hew always killed it on any kind of terrain, and has been around in the industry for so long. DeBari could teach me a thing or two about NW ripping since he’s a Baker loc, and it’d be nice to get some BC knowledge about my favorite WA mountains since I’m also from Western WA and ride similar terrain / snow conditions.

  • John

Definitely Bjorn. I talked to him in Toronto at a screening of AOF and he seemed really cool. It would be awesome if he showed me a few tricks

  • Rico

LNP for sure, that guy rides so hard and doesn’t care about the risk but the reward, Plus i need help on my backside spins onto rails, he’s got those locked.

  • http://www.facebook.com/bryan.baldwin.33 Bryan Baldwin

Laurent for sure, he looks like Grizzly Adams and has steeeeeeeeeeeez to the max. rocking the beard hard.

  • Lukw

LNP because I need advice in growing a fancy beard…

  • http://twitter.com/AustinLangevin Austin Langevin

LNP because he keeps it so real and kills it at the same time! also he sounds like hes hilarious to be around haha

  • Brandon Trentham

Bjorn fo sho.. Maybe he can tutor me on a game of Shred

  • Matthew Rutherford

LNP, anyday, because he has all the steeze that Rome Snowboards exemplifies in one killer package: LNP.

  • Simon mercer

Bjorn lienes for me please :) amazing all round shredder :)

  • Goose

Without a doubt LNP. he has a sick style and he just shreds so hard. he doesn’t get as much attention as he deserves i think

  • Allison

I would take lessons from whichever one of the Pro’s that truly believes that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I’m a 50 yr old female that would just love to learn to snowboard. I work in an high school and hear the kids talk about it all the time. Jealous. Annnd… I’d be so cool if I wore that stuff to school.

  • Jeff S.

lessons? why not the whole team, they’d all have something different to offer.

  • Liam O’Neil

Riley Nickerson because hes a g and knows how to ride a snowboard.

  • Norv.

Marie France-Roy cos all you lot are benders.

  • Mike G

LNP, hands down. The snowboard lesson would be great, but honestly being a young chap who has recently began exploring the world of facial hair, I would turn to LNP to get schooling on just how to maintain the facial hair status he has. LNP’s beard gives his riding extra special style and uniqueness, only if I could learn the secrets to a beard and mustache of that stature, maybe my dreams of becoming a professional street rider could become a reality.

  • http://www.facebook.com/tyler.trim.9 Tyler Trim

LNP no questions, I already slay Powder and booters I just am scared shitless of rails and dude is a street savage. Orrrr MFR cuz of her pure beauty and fearless back counrty skillz.

  • stew

Johnny Lazz for sure, that would be crazy cause he’s funny as hell and we would have awesome time. Let the Good Times Rolllllllllll

  • Mason B

Definitely Rusty Ockenden, but it would have to be half snowboard lesson and half life lesson because he straight up kills it at life. I follow him on instagram and everything he does looks fun.

  • Matt Janczak

Personally id be stoked to chill with LNP because id kill for some tips for street, plus his beard stops traffic:D. But for back country id go with Rusty Ockenden no doubt.

  • SteezyBe

LNP so I can ask him how to properly rage on a coniferous tree when a rail doesn’t go right.

  • http://www.facebook.com/isaacdeferran Isaac Negrié Gil

Laurent NP, of course, ’cause it’s the style himself. Skateboarding influenced, it seems a honsetly guy to married with haw haw haw!… so, anyway, it must be great recive a pure snowboarding lesson from this properly machine.

  • Bigcat

My personal favorite would be LNP, not just because of his boarding skills. But because of the flow he can manage to create for himself and that’s what I want to learn as a snowboarder. Don’t get me wrong though I wouldn’t mind taking a rail lesson with will lavinge

  • Adam M

obviously LNP…he has a sweet beard

  • http://twitter.com/bayrosemary Laurel

I would love to have a
snowboarding lesson from MFR simply because she’s awesome and my boyfriend has
a huge crush on her…he would be so jealous! Haha!

  • http://www.facebook.com/julianna.marttila Julianna Marttila

BJorn!!! stteeez all over the place, powder hound specially!

  • Britt

Bjorn because of his personal values. I would love to learn from him, both on the board and off the board. It would be a life changing experience.

  • Steve Hurley

Bjorn Leines. Cmon’ really, do I need to explain his legend status? Give me a hard lesson in Style 101 and Intro to Grow some Balls, Just Send it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/chris.allen.7771 Chris Allen

Johnny Lazz for sure because he’s cool and would probably give me some free goods.

  • Jesse Ponton

Bjorn for back country… old school is the good school!, will lavinge for da, da streets!! Jerk Moves all around.

  • http://twitter.com/TheBRomanowski Brian Romanowski

MFR cause you have to love hot chicks that ride

  • Michael Seaman

MFR and/or LNP because I am a snowboard instructor and I would like to learn how to teach in French as well as English.

  • Rochelle Albert

Ian Hart, not only for his ridiculous good looks, but the kid killlled it at High Cascade this year. If there’s anyone who I’d want lessons from it’d be him.

  • CHRIS B

    Marie Hucal

  • Callum

lnp he can teach me how to grown a sick beard!!!! and then some of them snow trick so we can get ice in our new beards.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Donald-Donovan/1644643064 Donald Donovan

Bjorn! Cause i was bjorn to ride!

  • http://www.facebook.com/about.paper Luca Jay Gnar

Lazz for sure….end of story…ill take my swag now!!

  • Jason S

I love the Rome team! I would be stoked to get a lesson from AMARMY rider Ozzy Henning. This dude is the real deal! His street skills are so smooth and he can fuckin front flip on to or off of anything! If you’re unfamiliar with him, check him out on YouTube. Go team Rome!!!!

  • George

LNP because hes gotta be one of the chillest guys shreddin out there right now. Hes got a super laid back style and i et he dabbles in the Mary Jane so it would be sick to shred some street with the guy.

  • Nik M

LNP because his beard is awesome and he can shred like no other
And we ride the same board

  • mork

    bjorn!

  • Jon

I would rather have a lesson from Bjorn Leines. Because he is a legend and a great backcountry rider. he is also one of the more experienced riders on the team, and he seems like the most badass guy on Rome.

  • Sandy Hiskey

Most definitely Rusty Ockenden. He’s hot! I’d love a lesson from this hottie.

  • Andrew

How can it not be LNP…not only is the guy a boss but he kills it too. One of the nicest guys in the game.

  • Riley

Kevin Backstrom. might even get some tips on picking up hot babes while we’re at it. those triple corks are pretty awesome.

  • Nathan

Brian Nero! He’s a friend of mine that I shred with at Liberty Snowflex in Virginia and he could def teach me a thing or 2 at hitting rails!

  • Dan

LNP! because I would learn gnarly tricks and even grow a ginger beard!!

  • jpviva

Bjorn!! to shred the back country and get some big air. This guy can seriously fly yo!!!

  • Chris

Lucas Debari, because he`s a very good backcountry rider and to hit some pow, pillows and cliffs with him would be awesome. If there isn´t good snow we could go climbing and just have fun!!

  • Ian McElroy

Paul Maravetz Co Owner and Creator of ROME SDS. Why not get a lesson from thy guy who knows how to ride every board because he Designs every Board and is the original syndicate member. Just sayin.

  • Mike Krasowski

I’d take a lesson from LNP for sure. Wild style and classic jibber, not to technical but keeps it real. Besides, who else is going to teach me how to board-slide a linked chain?

  • Josh Foster

LNP. Cause he’s got a gnarly beard. Period.

  • Jonathan Pedrotti

Staaaaaaaaaaale!!! Crazy as hell, the best feature for a snowboard teacher to transmit his passion to the little fellas! :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/satguru Satguru Khalsa

    LNP: we could be brothers!

  • Patrick Marrinan

Riley Nickerson because I’ve met him and he kills it and is the coolest guy ever!

  • mike

bjorn leines fo sho. show how to shred some pow pow!

  • jess w

Bjorn hands down. confident not cocky

  • http://www.facebook.com/meghan.bruce.9 Meghan Bruce

Marie Hucal cause shes slick and so technical.

  • sbs

johnny lazz, young bones have avant-garde trickery.

  • Pedro

Bjorn in the backcountry and Stale in the park, for sure. Sickest front 3 out there.

  • Hodgy

Laurent-Nicolas Paquin. Cos he is a ultimate chill dog and he has the freshest head everrr.

  • Ndawg

    Definitely Will Lavigne!!!

  • sean

Lazz cuz he knows how to have a good time on and off the mountain

  • http://twitter.com/melrose8248 Melissa

Rusty Ockenden, he may not know this…but we shall be married<3

  • James

will lavigne, because he is my idol

  • Drake

Stale Sandbech, because he is such a versatile rider and ride everything from slopestyle to street rails. And because he seems luck such a cool, calm and patient guy who seems like he would be a great teacher. And I mainly ride slopestyle so he would be a great teacher for me.

  • Jeff

Rusty Ockenden. He was my coach at COC and he was so rad. So i guess i already got a week of lessons with him. also his hair is sick

  • TimH

Bjorn. Easily the coolest guy on the team. Seems like he knows it all but is not arrogant.

Shout out to Jordan Phillips, id ride with him

  • Dan

    Will, because he’s Canadian

  • Digs

Ron farvety. Guy is basically a legend on and mostly off the snow

  • Elle

MFR! I had the pleasure of talking to her at windells and she was so great. She was really sweet and even though we met on the mountain whenever she saw me on campus she recognized me and would make a point of coming over to say hi. She helped me a lot to build my confidence, plus it was so nice to talk to a girl who’d made it pro and rips like she does. She’s such an inspiration to girl riders everywhere in this predominantly male sport, and I’d love to shred some backcountry with her.

  • Jyaz

LNP. I’d never get a better chance to shave his beard off and glue it to my face – and subsequently lose my virginity.

  • Nikola Pichler

Kevin Bäckström – coz i saw the bonus in Isensevens Kaleidoscope and apparently you can have a lot of fun with that guy.

  • Pete Freitag

Yoshitaka Ota he seems like a pretty cool guy and Japan has some sweet mountains there!

  • Max Mendola

Laurent-Nicolas Paquin of course! The dude is the master of jibbing for the Rome team and can pound PBR like its water. As a mainly backcountry rider I would benefit the most from LNP because he could teach all the tips and tricks that go along with urban boarding like wallies and hardways. Plus the dude is a total thrasher.

  • Rome Reveler

Marie Hucal. Ive always had a huge crush on her…

  • Pete

    MFR… She’s so cute!

  • http://twitter.com/PeterGriffithss Peter Griffiths

Tell you what, that Thomas Delfino chap seems like the perfect blend of absolute nutter with a great sense of fun – but one with the nuts to work hard to hit the huge stuff that few can spot! If he reminds me of anyone it’s Jamie Thomas from Zero skateboards – works hard, goes huge and dangerous, all with a smile on his face. If from one lesson I could learn 2% of his vision and will-power then it’d be worth it. Two nights in an igloo just for snowboarding? Too ace.

  • Marco

Laurent Nicolas Paquin because of his bad ass beard and style :)!

  • Da Booj

johnny lazz so he could teach me how to boom out, yell absurd profanities, and act like i was raised in bronx.

  • J.J.

MFR, nshe’s bad ass and has nice style.

    • J.J.

      She’s*

  • TJ

LNP for sure. He thrashes like crazy and pulls off some nice jumps. And at the end of the day he can teach me how to grow an epic beard like him.

  • Matt

Stale Sandbech. Stale’s spinning style is sick but he’s also mad versatile. He can teach me how to get down on just about everything.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=543685751 Scott Miller

LNP, have you seen how stoked he gets? The dudes the shit, and has as good of a beard as the dudes in ZZ top, boss man

  • Nicholas

will lavigne because he knows where to put the sun screen. Swag.

  • Allie

MFR because she’s the most hood rate, badass mother of them all

    • allie

      rat*

  • Jamie Cogan

LNP hands down – doing it right on the wrong side of town.

  • http://www.facebook.com/sandra.mosley.338 Sandra Mosley

I’d go with any of them if iI had the chance…. But I’m going to go with Marie H. and rip it up chick style! hehehe

  • Keith Woodard

Bjorn because his name is neat

  • BRyce

    Fucking Dracula from Romania

  • Robe

Bjorn by far, he makes it look way to easy for how frickin steezy he is. Hes always goin hard and breaking bones, such a all around bad ass. Shreds the pow like its nothing, and throws the sickkest 5′s.

  • Patsy

Ian Hart. He rides at Loon and kills jumps. Seems to have a freakish air awareness, so i bet he could explain how to spin some fancy maneuvers.

  • http://twitter.com/daniels45 Michael Daniels

gotta be laurent hes got mad steez

LPN because he has sick style. Hes a nice guy and one of my favorite snowboarders, also like a pro romodel.and his beard is pretty sick too

  • NJRoubi

Hairy Larry baby! He shreds like a monster and is easily the most grizzly man around. His beard. Enough said

  • Nick

Travis rice because he so smooth and is the sickest rider around
