Free Goods Friday: Salomon X LRG

January 13

//

It’s Friday the 13th, which supposedly brings doom, despair, and overall bad luck to all of human kind. For one lucky soul however, the curse of Friday the 13th shall be broken by winning this week’s Free Goods Friday. This week we are featuring the LRG/Salomon collaboration “Boss” bindings. These bad boys are way hot in the streets, and super limited. In order to win these bindings, we want you to tell us who would be your dream boss, and why in the comment section below. Our favorite response will win the bindings, and we’ll throw in a Snowboarder Magazine beanie and some stickers.

Contest ends 1/20/12

  • Dirk

It sure wouldn’t be Donald Trump. That guy is ridiculous. The Christmas bonus would probably be good, but he’s so full of himself. After watching 50 cent’s show, I don’t think I want him as a boss either. I’m going to stick with Norm MacDonald. That dude is still one of the funniest people alive. Comedy Central must have messed up really bad when they could make a show with him, and it couldn’t last. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/1adaa0d06b/snl-celebrity-jeopardy-10-23-99

I have to say though, I heard Tina Fey is a really good boss. I think that’s what Tracy Morgan said in his book. Still, sticking with Norm MacDonald.

  • Tyler Richtman

  • http://www.solidcloudmedia.com Stonia

I would want Angelina Jolie to be my boss because I would have no problems with her ordering me around all day. I want her to teach me the ways and if I’m going to be spending most of my days working, a super sexy and intelligent woman is the dream I would like to live! And then I’d win these sexy bindings :D

  • James Tarras

Rick Ross. He would teach me everything I need to know to make my way up the ranks.

  • Kevin Olofsson

I would like to have Halldor Helgason as my boss. He got the sickest style and its like he gives life like no other to the tricks he stomps. I also like him because hes like the only pro from Iceland and i am halfway ”icelandian” or how to put it. Also, last season i had a serious headconcusion after an bail with my board. Ironicly enough, it was just cause the bindings werent to good/stabile in high speed. I was rushed to hospistal in an ambulance, and i had to stay there for like a week. This ruined my whole season. I havent been able to ride since then because i need/needed new bindings. My mom also dont allow me to ride unless its like some really good shit im doing it with and she doesnt got the money to buy it.. by bringing up the concusion thingy i didnt mean to be to squishy

  • Ben Copeland

Kevin Pearce would be mine, and anybody elses, dream boss. The passion and love he has for the sport is second to none. Even after the one thing he truly loves nearly cost him his life, he continues to strive to get back on that board and carve some fresh pow. Anybody who shows that much passion and charisma for anythomg is a man I would work for any given day. He’s an iconic figure and a living testament to why snowboarding is a sport that embodies one’s soul. IRIDE4KEVIN.

I would want E.T. to be my boss. E.T. seems like he would be really chill to work for. I honestly have no idea what kind of job that would be…but the only thing he could tell me to do is “phone home”, so although i wouldn’t be out on the mountain shredding the gnar, I would get to talk to my parents back home alot, and tell them how sick outer space is…

  • Richard

Mother Nature would be my boss. I’d be the best worker and would be rewarded with bulk snow..

  • LEG!

He would say things like ” I don’t always snowboard but when I do I prefer to ride with my LRG/Salomon bindings.”

Whether I’d be sponsored, working in the company helping build boards an stuff I think he would be an epic boss to have. Someone that would e easy to get along with.

  • https://www.facebook.com/jaymesq Jaymes Q Chancellor

Ullr the snowgod is my dream boss for sure. Whether I’d be a snow minion, similar to park crew, avalanche control, or film crew lol… Actually not sure what exactly I’d be doing if employed by a ‘god’, but I imagine steep and deep powder lines whiles he was out making sure the people were righteous. You said a dream boss, and in my dreams I’m shredding the best snow 24/7 and I don’t know anybody who could help me achieve this dream better than Ullr. Maybe Jeremy Jones. :P <3 <3

  • Jacob Coyle

My DREAM boss would be Rob Dyrdek because in my eyes he is the all time most diligent, hard working entrepreneur I’ve ever seen. He does the most CRAZY spontaneous things, and i’d do anything to experience the thrill of life from his point of view. He does stunts that are absolutely insane and his optimism seems to be impossible not to catch. He’s a legend and it would be an honor to help him fulfill all his new and exciting dreams. • http://www.infiniteincomegenerator.com Val

Bruce ‘The Boss’ Springsteen would be the ultimate Boss.
First being nicknamed ‘The Boss’ is paramount and should win on that fact alone.
The real reason he would make a good boss is that he know how to treat his fellow ‘employees’ (The E Street Band) with dignity and compassion & he knows how to handle money and will not be bought out. Anyone who turns down millions offered from a large corporation is The Boss in my books.
    * Springsteen turned down several million dollars offered by the Chrysler Corporation to use the song ‘Born in the U.S.A’ in a car commercial.
That’s being the Boss of oneself!

  • Colin Amero

my dream boss would be jake burton because i could go boarding and he would be good with it. haha!

  • Jelle

My dream boss would be that awesome guy I see in the mirror every morning!

  • Kyle Maxwell

I think the dream boss would D*Face or Dean Stockton. My favorite graffiti artist ever! I just love it’s art and how he is just kind of care free. He would be a sweet boss just to skate around with him and throw up art. So I think he would be the greatest dream boss ever. He has no thing to do with snow boarding besides that he designed the Rome Mod graphic.

  • Dono Wilkinson

    John Jackson duuuuh!

  • Heidi Pascoe

No one would would make a better boss than Dunder Mifflin’s very own Micheal Scott! I mean, c’mon!! Do you know how much you could get away with!? Ha ha… It would be a snowboarding day every day!!

My favorite boss would be Bob Marley! Seems like the man would push you to do your best no matter what the task might be…. how cool would it be to see bob cruising down the mountain on a board!

  • Jason

I’d want Chuck Norris as my boss. He eats rocks and brushes his teeth with steel wool. throughout the day, he would consume his favorite food, Whiskey (he might even give some to me because he is so awesome). Chuck Norris would be the greatest boss ever, mainly for the fact that I would never screw up. I would be so afraid of him roundhouse kicking my face off that I would never mess up. Chuck Norris is the ultimate American, and who likes snowboarder mag more than americans? No one!

  • Mister. M

  • Daniel King

My dream boss would have to be the one and only Dom Mazzetti. Why? Cuz hes a game changer. He’s the definition of a powerplay. Dom would show me the ropes and teach me about bitches making sandwiches, nattys, red bull vodkas, banging slampieces and shutting down the club when they close. I’m in the middle of my freshman year of college and can just relate to all of his great advice like masturbating in the shower, drinking ovaltine in order to make your dick bigger and attacking the night extremely dude heavy. Fucking instant classic. Dom would be like the brother I never had, and working for him would be a lot like banging JWOWW from the Joisey Shore, which would be chyll. Dom and I would go together like GHB and drunk teenage girls, cause we got money like that. He who has cream controls the night, right? Dom has inspired me to appreciate the finer things in life like playing beer pong on a flipped over couch, blacking out and then blacking in to my boys fist bumping to Skrillex at Club Vinyl and finally never going to class, cuz classes are like abortions (I have the option) Clearly Dom would be my ideal boss, cuz then I’d pull academic probation and get put on Schindler’s List.

  • Harry Edmonds

i would be my own boss because i hate being told what to do and so that i could shred every day

  • Travis Richardson

  • Willy Hasslehoff

My dream boss would have to be the one and only, best of the best, Morgan Freeman. Why? I mean other than being around the all time coolest dude ever, no matter what he ever told or ordered me to do I could listen to his killer voice and feel like I was the main character of a movie ahaha!

  • Zack

Mary Jane.. cause i love to blow trees.

  • Christine

Haha Mike Meyers is my dream boss. Hollla! Smoke-n-a pancake?? Pipe-n-crepe?? Eh?? Hed prolly keep the day interesting. And if we got into an arguement im sure it would end up with both of us laughing our asses off! An hed prolly try to shred the knar with meh every weekend.

  • Colin

Terry Tate. Cuz he brings the pain.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzToNo7A-94

  • http://Www.craftsandcreatures.com Thomas Bjorklund

I’d pick jennifer aniston’s character from the movie ‘horrible bosses’. Explanation not needed ;)

  • Christine Mark

Since we’re dreaming here, my favorite boss would be Samuel L. Jackson or Christopher Walken. Whenever I need a good laugh, I would piss them off just to see them lose it. I mean, really. They’re pretty cool dudes when they’re happy too!

  • http://reebesreef.tumblr.com Dan Reeves

My dream boss would be Adriana Lima, just imagine working for her, she would be like does this bikini look good on me and I would be like yea of course it looks good but I really think we should try on that one and then I would say oh that is definitely the best one but then I would be kinda looking at another one and she would be like y eso bikini alli? porque no eso? then I would say well it doesnt hurt to try that one I guess. But also could you imagine all the hot friends she has to hang out with? That is why Adriana Lima would be my dream boss.

  • sampsa Ohenoja

my dream boss would be Patt moore, cause hes kind of just like me. the ”agressive” style and ignorent in some points just match the way i ride. In my opinion Pat would be my dream boss overall, cause we have the same style (in every directions) But Pat is my 1 personal favourites of all time. So it would be a hell of a struggle, at least from my view!!!

  • http://cargocollective.com/AveryZieben Avery Zieben

My dream boss would be the creative director at Snowboarder Magazine. I would love to have a job where I could use my artistic abilities to impact the sport of snowboarding – a sport that has impacted my life so much. Snowboarding fuels a fire inside of me which in turn generates inspiration to make art. This is why I spent 5 hours in the studio today working on some new board art, and why I am forgoing partying tonight with my peers and waking up at 4:30 AM tomorrow to drive to Vermont. Snowboarding gets me out of bed in the morning, and it takes me to places with my art that I never could have imagined possible. This is why I believe using my artistic talents to work for the creative director at Snowboarder Magazine would be my ideal boss. After all, what’s life if there’s no passion in what you’re doing?

  • poofacekillah

not sure if it went through first time.. Rick Flair!! Woooooo!

  • Kostas

My self. Cuz I could shred all day…

  • Michael L

my dog because he doesn’t care how lazy i am. he sleeps all day anyways.

  • Hiland Russell

I’m gonna have to say Shigeru Miyamoto. The man created multiple legendary video game series and he’s a great artist. Plus, if i worked for him I would have to live in Japan, where i can take to the slopes of mount Fuji. Japan powder all the time.

  • Joey

i would want a power ranger as my boss cause when i was a kid i always wanted to be a power ranger, and id get to go fight monsters and have cool mega zords.

  • Julie jambam Moore

I wish the SnowGod(s) were my boss. So I could personally give them all the requests for snow here in a dry winter Idaho. We have lots of snow dance rituals but little snow & a closed ski resorts. Tough on everybody!
    !Let it Snow!
    *shaking it now*

  • Gannon

Scotty Stevens. No, not the hockey player, the cool one. He’s such a chill guy, and he has the greatest personality of anyone I’ve ever met. When I heard that I was going to meet Scott Stevens, I was blown away. I figured he was thinking “do they even have snow in NC?”. Thankfully, we have a great board shop (They’re called Recess Rideshop. Check ‘em out). I also got to meet Cale Zima and TJ Schneider, but that’s beside the point. When Scott Stevens came through the shop door, my heart exploded. Before this moment, meeting Scott Stevens was just a faint thought. That was the moment when it really hit me. He was shaking everybody’s hand as he proceeded through the shop, and everyone was introducing themselves. When he got to me, I forgot my name. As the night went on, and as we talked to him more and more, he was so friendly, that I wasn’t nervous around him anymore. It seemed as if he had been my friend since I was a toddler. He would make a perfect boss. He is such a great role model, especially because he’s not out there in the Olympics for everyone to see. He does his own thing, and got famous for it. Just such a good role model. Oh, and if you ever meet the guy, try not to mention tramp skating. He’ll go on all night.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/BOBProDuckShunz?feature=mhee Bob Strand

  • zach

Travis Rice. Do I really need to say why?

  • August Lambrecht

Scott stevens from Capitas, “Defenders of Awesome”. His style is unmatched and he can do more with a snowboard than a man with a swiss army knife. He will hit one rail, and the next he will strap out of his bindings and throwdown all kinds of craziness. He is the boss.

  • Kyle W

My dream boss would be Blake Anderson from Workaholics because it wouldn’t be a normal boss relationship. We would get weird and make priceless comedy. Plus I would introduce him to the world of snowboarding.

  • Andrew H

Claire with Keystone boarder patrol. She took great care of me today when another boarder blindsided me and I smacked my face on the packed powder. My right Burton Custom binding broke in half and my old Arnette goggles broke in half. These bindings would go perfect with my Salomon Definition I’ve been rocking for years!!! (and it was the Salomon 500 Pro for many years before that)

  • Kyle Toner

I want Master splinter as my boss. His abilities to teach martial arts will give me the balance I need to perfect some of those tricks taunting me like the evil shredder, rocksteady and bebop. Kiickin ass on the hill with some turtle power thanks to my new BOSS

  • Emily N.

My dream boss would be Shaun White. He’s my idol for snowboarding. It’s amazing how he was able to follow his dreams and be the best snowboarder in the whole world. It would be totally awesome if he could teach me all his cool tricks and I could actually get to meet somebody famous. He was the reason why I really like snowboarding. I used to watch YouTube videos of him snowboarding and it was so cool, which made me want to learn to snowboard. Also, Shaun White as my boss would be terrific because I probably wouldn’t have to work in an office, but instead, outdoors in the snow. I would get a chance to do what I enjoy doing and not have to worry about stressful, formal working environments. Shaun White for the win! :]

  • Roger

My dream boss is my current boss, ME and THE SNOW! Last year I started my own company and I realized that the only days I took off were when the snow “told me to”. Lucky for me fresh tracks on Aspen/Snowmass is only a 20 minute bus ride away.

THE SNOW WILL FALL AND THE MOUNTAIN WILL CALL!

  • Alex

My dream boss would have to be Jack Mitrani. He’s fucking hilarious and super down to earth. and I also feel like he might be a closet genius. If he couldnt be my boss then my second choice would be Rick Ross. Why? Cuz he’s Rick Ross the Boss. UNGH!

  • Daniel Hamilton

Dream Boss: Rick Ross. He already calls himself the boss so if i chipped in and doubled up his self esteem my christmas bonus would probably skyrocket, along with my vacation time and other perks. He’d also score me hella ladies cuz he’s famous. I’d take my christmas bonus, my vacation time, and my hella ladies and hit the slopes in my new Tech Nine Boss status bindings. Now thats phat. #RickyRawssDaBawss

  • Alex

My dream boss would be Charlie Sheen, because he knows how to party hard! It would be so awesome in the office!! Haha

Micheal Scott from the office US. Just the best way spending the day at work continiously laughing! I think he wouldnt mind daily shred sessions during working times so that would be amazingggg. O yea and just want to shred with dwight

  • http://www.joshryan.com Rowd

I would want my boss to be a Panda, we’d just laze about all day in Japan chewing bamboo and talking shit.

  • http://jackrimell.comlu.com Jack Rimell

I would want to work for google because if you dont know how to do something you can just google it.

  • Leon

My dream boss would be Torstein Horgmo because he showed (me) that a steezy thrown back 5 is more impressive than a sloppy 10 or 12. Also he shows the important facts that a snowboarder has to have: 1. steeze 2. willpower 3. lots of fun when riding.

  • Nicky Bramley

It’s gotta be the legend that is Boss Hog! That dude is fly, the White suits, the big hat! Helping him to catch the Duke boys would be awesome, chasing hillbillies, drinking moonshine, bar brawls! I can’t think of anything sweeter! Hazard county y’all!!

  • alex

  • http://www.twitter.com/joeyishellagood Joey

I’d be my own boss! I have a lot of control issues. I’d rather forge my own path than have someone breathing down my neck all the time.

  • Matthias Löscher

I would love to work for Linn Haug.
First of all she’ s pretty hot and which guy would not love to such a boss?!
Her skill is amazing and her way of snowboarding is kind of unique.
I would love to work with her in most posible places in the world there you can go for shredding!

  • DFWTXN

Roxxy Reynolds…porn star….you do the math

  • Kyle

The frends crew (one word- FRENDSVISION! )

  • Christopher

In my opinion Scott Stevens from capita is the BOSS because his part in “Defenders of Awesome” was so uberawesome and I´ve never seen someone making fastplants, onefoots and nofoots look so easy.
    You Rock Scott

  • Piotrek

The dream boss is then when I can ride on it :)

  • Bailey Breen

Michael jackson,,, just cuz he rocks!

  • Alec Denninger

Keith Stone…… cause he’s smooth. That’s a skill every snowboarder needs.

  • Matthew Ide

My dream boss would without a doubt be Hallador Helgason. This dude has set style, talent and general likability that has brought amazing interest to ALL European snowboarders. Seeing him amazing film parts and articles and his closeness to the community has been inspiring me to and to have him as a boss would greatly improve anyone’s snowboard adventure. THAT GUY IS THE BOSS! KEEP ON RIDING HARD!

  • Tak Kamihagi

My dream boss would be chris grenier cus he freaking owns these bindings!

  • Janus

    King Salomon!

They say he was wise and just… And if that’s not enough to make him a perfect boss, his name does the trick:)

  • Kyle Cunnalingus

Bruce Wayne. First off I could just kick it old school with Alfred all day. Secondly Bruce is pretty chill; it would be a great work environment.

  • Tanner

Torstein Horgmo because he is AWSM!

  • Sam Z.

My dream boss would be Chris Bradshaw because I had nothing to do, just chilling with him and the Gremlinz and smoking some blunts

  • Michiel Schroeyers

Adolf Hitler would be my boss….. I become his right hand so he trusts me,, then imma kill his ass nd save tha world :P

  • https://twitter.com/#!/NicholasWittman Nicholas Wittman

My dream boss would have to be Travis Rice. Not only has been progressing the sport year after year with his movies like this year’s The Art of Flight, but his riding continues to be the best in the world. He would push my skills to the limit and keep me laughing in the most serious of times. He is an all around BOSS.

  • Mitch Pfeiffer

Will Ferrel… need to ask why? any man who can beat the shit out of someone with a wooden gun, yet still know the deep meaning of san diego, id get down on both knees and…. oh yea bow down to him.

  • Bernard Sonke

I would be “Racing in the street” with Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen.

  • Chance Bodenchuk

I would say Travis Rice as my boss, In all his videos he is inspiring dialed and very professional towards others, what I gather from his video’s, he has everything planned and is very organized. I know from my job now, if your not organized you stumble over everything taking away from the full potential of the day.

  • Nick Pereyra

‘ My dream boss would be Danny “Danger” Kass because we all know hes the illest snowboarder and I could probably pick up a couple good tips

  • Aaron

My fiance, cause at least then I could get paid to listen to her nagging

  • Patrick “goose” Gustafson

I would have to say that my dream boss would definitely be Jeremy Jones (big mountain). All you have to do is look over at the “Jones Snowboards” website to see why he would be the best boss. Not only does he put his heart and soul into his riding, but he also takes into consideration the environmental impact that riding can present, and does his best to limit his footprint. Also, after spending some time in Chamonix, France this past December, I can say that my own riding has been changed forever. Being a guy who has always lived in the midwest, I had never before seen such big mountains or snow of that caliber. I was even told by some locals that while we were there, 16-24 December, they valley received record snowfalls (for that early in the season. We were even there for opening day haha). After that trip, I feel that my eyes have been opened, though just barely, to the world that Mr. Jones knows all so well.

  • Wouter

My dream boss would be Jake Burton, because he has 1 of the biggest snowboard brands at the moment and several sub- brands. The chance of being fired because the company is broke is about 0% and I think he is a fun guy (based on what I’ve seen/ read/ heard on internet).

    Yeah, Jake for sure.
A pro snowboarder as boss is not cool, because you should be able to shred all day with your friends, and if a pro boarder is your boss it means he has a lot of work to do and doesnt have time to board all day.

  • Jay French

Ken Block. Who could be better? Spend your winters jibbing through Kens lounge at the MTN LAB, having your boss sending you up your own private ski field to test new gear and wax your board. Then the rest of the time, you’re flying around race tracks, making videos, drifting Subaru’s and Fords, and whatever else you can get into! Drifting, jumping ski jumps in cars, having snowboarders bump your roof. Mad. Then there are the perks that come with the job, a lifetime supply of Monster Energy Drink, anything from the DC Shoe Co. label and free SPY sunglasses.

Hang out with all the big names, snowboard with the best, do little to no work at all, except park the occasional car, and fetch a snowboard for your mate… Wise career choice if you ask me. Ken Block. Well done.

  • RG

    T-Bird, because he’s so dreamy.

  • Mr. Petes

Does anyone hear remember MacGyver? I’d like to be his apprentice and learn how to diffuse a bomb with a paper clip.

  • Scott

I’m not so sure you can have a “Dream Boss” without a “Dream Job”, but as long as two people are working continuously towards a common goal, I believe that there is a boss out there that can make any job easier, and more fulfilling. The dream boss for me is an authority figure who isn’t necessarily that. Someone who supports you, understands you, has the good sense to keep you motivated, in line with yours, and his expectations. So in any case ultimately the a Dream boss is a person who helps you get through your day, and leaves you with a thought in mind…Despite it all, what a great day, I think I like what I do, and what am I having for dinner tonight?

  • Scott Miller

I would want Nick dirks, simply because hes a boss.

  • Marion Corderoch

My ‘dream boss’ would be someone who would be ready to teach me his skills, with a total respect between us, so he could help me to achieve my goals and make me a better person.

  • Hilary

My dream boss would be not having a boss. That seems obvious. Why would I aspire to have someone else boss me around all day? I would like to not be told what to do by someone who is getting paid more than me. Ideal boss = no boss.

  • duh

Nate Bozung.. Cuz a boss who doesn’t give a fuck and is always missing is like not having a boss at all!

  • Ian McElroy

Hunter S. Thompson, “Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride” nothing else needs to be said.

  • Austyn

I think that my dream boss would have to be either Torstein Horgmo or Travis Rice. Torstein is just a hilarious dude and im sure he’d never fire me for skipping work to snowboard.
Having Rice as a boss though would be unreal because i think the only way you could get in trouble is for not going big enough. Also the places you would be able to go with Travis as your boss would be worth it in itself, and getting to ride in those places is a bonus!

  • david newbrough

willy wonka! cool uniforms, company sing-a-longs, hella candy, and i’d be “away from all the Wangdoodles, and Hornswogglers, and Snozzwangers, and rotten, Vermicious Knids.”

  • ryan bertram

This may be a little random but my dream boss would be “travis pastrana” because the guy is a natural born athlete. Can do and rule at anything he puts his mind to. Has to be one of the biggest and best all round athletes of the 21st century. All guts no hesitation. If you could learn to be half as good as he is at most things you’d be a legend.

    Ryan

  • http://www.kidswithmatches.co.uk Adam tapemasternDixon

Jack Burton would be my ideal Boss because When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol’ Jack Burton always says at a time like that: “Have ya paid your dues, Jack?” “Yessir, the check is in the mail.”

  • Mitch M

I would definitely want Scott Stevens. Up at High Cascade I hung out with him and he was the chillest, funniest guy ever! If I felt like calling in “sick” to ride a pow day he would already be up there and have closed up shop (in this scenario we work at a grilled cheese shop). Actually, work would probably be closed most days to go snowboarding and I would get payed in grilled cheeses (fuck trident layers).

  • Sonja Riddell

My favourite boss would be Richard Branson because he is a brilliant businessman who takes his employees seriously, is a forward thinker and always willing to help those less fortunate.

  • Jeff Kimball

My dream boss would have to be Chris Cooper! Hes got what it takes to get the brand name of solomon OUT there. Also he loves his home land just as I do. If he wouldn’t accept me I would be more than willing to work under the owners of Snowboarder Mag Or Tansworld, I love to board and always will.

  • Jeremiah Robinson

ron f*ckin jeremy who the hell wouldnt wanna get paid to get laid…

  • Erik G

If i were to choose someone to be my dream boss it would be my father hands down. Not only would i be able to rely on him , but he has already taught me everything about good work ethic. Working with him would be the most productive boss/employee team ever, but still leaving room for understanding that i need to snowboard as well.

  • Steven Patton

I think it’d be awesome to have Michael Bay as my boss, cause he could make all sorts of (safely planned) explosions go off as I rode down the mountain. =D

  • Andy L.

My dream boss, and by “dream” we mean anything, right?!
Would be Craig Kelly! Hey, I can dream!! Because even after the somber day in Jan ’03 his life and contributions still shoot charges of positive energy through the snowboarding community and the lives of anyone who was blessed enough to know him. Simply because if more companies and/or businesses had people like this in charge, people would actually enjoy going to work, and they would learn and reciprocate with hard work and dedication. Devotion to a collective goal and the energy and ideas to achieve that goal. Respect and rest in bliss brother!!

  • justin

It would have to be my WIFE! No one else knows me like her, she knows what does and doesn’t push my buttons. She would let me off when the sun is shining and the powder is fluffy, and she would pay me better than anyone else. Oh, and she would have lunch for me everyday, gotta have food.

  • jack mason

i want the guy from kentucky fried chicken to be my boss cuz that would be awsome

  • jrad

Java because I would be getting paid to ride these bindings instead of commenting on this message board in hopes of winning a pair

  • Marcus Skin

The boss would be Terry Crews because it’s fucking Terry Crews!

  • kat

my dream boss would be me! cuz i’m just awesome! :P

  • Gilles Kolthek

do not think anyone is the boss of someone else.
Each individual is equal, why would one person be better than another?

  • Job. K

I hope its not my boss of the Burgerking!

  • Tanya

It would probably have to be a dog for me. Yep, a dog. He would never be in a bad mood, he doesn’t really yell, and the most I would have to worry about is throwing a ball around for a full 8 hour shift. I love doggies.

  • Brock

My dream boss would be Tracey Canaday from Never Summer. I really look up to his company and wish I could manufacture sonwboarders as well as he does. I live in Colorado and i feel that it is really important for our shred sticks be manufactured i the U.S. I also love the inovation coming out of that factory and how they continue and will stop at nothing to pursuite prefection. I also like knowing that for my board to be made, a 7 year old Chinease kid lost his pinkie finger. :)

  • David Skjerli

    LONely ISLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND! lol

  • Parsa

I would want MYSELF as my boss, so that i can always take time off for my shredding sessions.

  • Scott Chynoweth Jr.

Shawn Palmer would be a good boss

  • Mitch Webb

My favorite boss would be Jennifer Aniston in Horrible bosses, and I wouldn’t walk away from that ;)

  • sheldon revoy

I would want my boss to be halldor helgason jeaaa

  • Kevin Linquist

My dream boss would have to be Jake Burton. The man has done more for the sport than almost anyone I can think of at this time, and no matter the position the job would entail working in the industry and progressing the sport. Whether you’re talking about being a rep to the shops around the US, being a manager for a team, or just a lackee in a factory I’d be working for a major player and I’d be doing something for the main love in my life, and there’s a lot to be said about getting paid to do what you love. If we could all be soooo lucky!!!!! Thanks.

  • Tyler K

I would want my boss to be Will Ferrell, not only would I have to do the random tast he asked of me Ex: puttting out the imaginary fire on him. I would get to be a Semi Pro, Anchorman, Car Salesman, Cop, Stay at home son at 40 or even a nascar driver. This would just be everyday work under Will assuming he says things like “a lion, swimming in the ocean. Lions don’t like water. If you placed it near a river or some sort of fresh water source, that make sense. But you find yourself in the ocean, 20 foot wave, I’m assuming off the coast of South Africa, coming up against a full grown 800 pound tuna with his 20 or 30 friends, you lose that battle, you lose that battle 9 times out of 10. And guess what, you’ve wandered into our school of tuna and we now have a taste of lion. We’ve talked to ourselves. We’ve communicated and said ‘You know what, lion tastes good, let’s go get some more lion’. We’ve developed a system to establish a beach-head and aggressively hunt you and your family and we will corner your pride, your children, your offspring.” Thats why I would want hime to be my boss.

  • Sherlock

My dream boss would be Mr. Bean! He never complains, never gets angry, in fact he hardly ever says anything… and at the same time he seems to like people laughing at him – a perfect boss, isn’t he?

  • Ty

Drew Amer would be a sick boss. He manages a mighty fine mag

  • Richard

Cumming the founder of the park city mountain resort, being from jersey and having 0 snowfall so far (besides in october) my dream is to go to college out west and become an owner of a mountain resort. working for the man who owns all the ski resort for park city and vail will give me opportunities to snowboard at the resorts and let me experience an entire new world of snowboarding for life.

  • http://www.facebook.com/torino.band Jay McEwan

It would have to be Megan Fox………..and the job….hmmm….pretty much anything she wanted lol

  • Mitch Eramo

Don’t like bosses, just like gettin boss

  • Ryan

    Charlie Sheen, Winner!

  • Bob

I would want Smokey the Bear to be my boss for a couple reasons. 1st) Safety is his main priority 2) He is a bear that can talk 3)I could find out if bears really do shit in the woods and 4)Everyone knows that people who promote fire safety are educated pyromaniacs and I would like to see a bear use a lighter.

  • Teemo

Dream boss would be lizard king, beers would be shotgunned and would most likely be trippin, plus there wouldn’t be much work

  • Martin K

Bugs Bunny because he can talk his way out of anything!

  • gswizzle

Blue. because he is my boy.

  • Jonar

ME! I would be my own boss. What’s better than that? Isn’t it better to create your own job rather than finding a job? Make money how I want, work when I want, shred when I want, party when I want, and sleep in when I want. And I feel these bindings kinda send that message. When you shred, the bindings connect you to the board, making you the boss, not the snowboard. And everyone should treat life that way. Maybe not to literally be your own boss (probably one of the most difficult jobs in the world because all you’d want to do is shred) but see your life as a snowboard… Ride it how you want and show’em who’s the BOSS. Ya digggg?

  • Jace

If I could choose any boss it would be Joe Rogan and I would be his successor as the host of fear factor. Why? Well go watch Joe’s stand up. He has an original and intelligent approach to his stand up. Did I forget to mention he’ll make ya piss your pants, so don’t over load on “root” beer. Being Joe’s apprentice would be rad because you get to watch people do insane and nasty stunts and you can make fun of the d bags. and yell EAT IT EAT IT as they’re choking on horse dicks.

  • Cameron Page

My dream boss would bea yeti, because i would ride away from him down the mountain, pushing my skills to the limit in those new Salomon’s ;)

  • Patrick K

My dream boss would be Torstein. Not because he is an awesome snowboarder (which he is), but because he seems like one of the chillest boarders out there.

  • Bryan

Pat Bridges! You all have a great gig! I would love to meet the riders, go to the competitions, research gear, etc. I would just require one day off a week to be able to ride, lol.

  • Nate

    Myself obviously!

  • Mike M

If I was a pro snowboarder, I’d want my boss to be Jake Blauvelt. He’s one of the best riders out there as we all know. His laid-back, back-country style and unbelievable eye for the sickest hits and lines make him a dude you’d really to want to work with. Watching “Backcountry” shows that he’s truly on top of his game, and the production value shows that him and his crew are not messing around. He’s already made me want to push harder than ever before. Working with him would be life altering.

  • Charlie

My dream boss would be the guy from The Lonely Island. Why? Because he’s a bawss

  • Tony Bai

Travis Rice would win hands down. Why? If you need to ask you live in a cave in a hot desert with no snow for a gazillion miles around…

  • Thom Servaes

My favorite boss would be Terje Haakonsen because he’s one of the most all-round snowboarders i’ve ever seen and he knows every cool snowboard area in the world. He would also be the ultimate teacher, given that he has a massive experience and knowhow. And above all, I think he’s a really cool guy to hang out with so yeah, Terje would be my all-time favorite…

  • kyle

Guy Feiri cuz ever town you roll into he know where all the best eats are. Diners, drive ins, dives. Nothing better than good grub and boarding

  • http://jpavnon.com Jonathan

Easy, JP Walker. Have you seen the way he bosses Simon around. Putting his jacket on, making him coffee, opening doors… etc Legends deserve respect and I’d happily fill those shoes.

  • Jake p

My boss would be Buddha, we chill, meditate, and find nirvana on buttery pow.

  • http://hotmail Dave Lang

Jeremy Jones would be the best boss, i would be his avalanche Guinea pig, I could dig the snow pits, test the snow layers and travel the world looking for the epic pow!

  • Louis

I think Nicholas Muller seeing as he is a total master not just at snowboarding but at total zen. He is a part of Budda himself, just as an amazing snowboarder.

  • matt

Tim Tebow because he is the nicest person in history.

  • Steve Magana

My ultimate boss would be Questor Sapnu! Of course A-Rob, Craig Kelly, Travis Rice, Jeremy Jones or De La Rue are ultimate bosses, but I’m being realistic. Those guys are too busy living the extreme dream or too deceased (no disrespect) to give me a job. Right now I’m sick of my cubicle at limos.com. Questor is an up and coming entrepreneur and he is about to be hiring. He is the founder and owner of a snowboard training facility in Thorton, Colorado called Progresh. Look for both of them on facebook. Progresh is set to open this spring of 2012! Progresh is a lot like Woodward at Copper in the likes that they will have foam pits, trampolines, simulator cliff drops, changeable rails and box set ups, and of course a great skate park to improve your snowboarding skills all year round. Sessions are going to have much more reasonable pricing than Woodward and the fact that the facility is close to downtown Denver makes it the ultimate proving and training grounds for the kids in the city. I was born and raised in Denver and I’ve grown up to be a true 26 year old shred bum. I would love to work for Progresh! No matter what my job title or duties, I would just be stoked to be apart of something so amazing. I’ve worked for all the cooperate ski and snowboard retailers but I’ve always dreamed of a core job. We all know how difficult those jobs are to find. You gotta know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who already blew somebody to get the job. I don’t know anybody in the industry except for the lifties! lol I’m not the greatest snowboarder but I ride religiously. Quickly approaching my 50th day in 2011-2012 season. If Questor and Progresh can help me land a back flip before I turn 30 I will die a happy man! Plus I could really use some new bindings. Just this past friday the 13th, I hitchhiked from Denver to loveland pass. I hiked a line on the south bowl of the pass. Avalanche conditions did not look promising. If i had realized it was friday the 13th before hand there’s no way I would have even hiked up that direction. I tried to talk my friend out of the line but he was not listening to me, my snow-pit data, or all the signs pointing towards death. He’s a retard and I’m even dumber for following. He dropped first and made it to the safe zone. I dropped in second, made three “s” turns and realized my ankle strap was broken! blasphemy! I had to ride the whole line with no ankle strap, terrified it was going to avalanche at any second. If the slope had released and I only had one foot strapped in, I would not have stood a chance making it out of a slide. Thankfully it didn’t release. I made it down quickly and safely. much relieved, I then went to the resort for a quick ratchet fix and cool down in the shack above chair #1. Haven’t been that shitted in quite some time!

  • http://seekingshambhala.blogspot.com Christian Paul

I already have a dream boss- my Wife. Boss with the most sauce!

  • Jenise

Jade Mclain. The girl thinks British Colombia is in Europe. She’d be so confused all the time that I could probably just convince her that she actually works for me and make her do all my shit.

  • Jenise

  • garry keddy

my favourite boss would have to be Warren miller I know skiing but could you emagine just traveling the world to shoot some of the best in both skiing and snowboarding in some of the craziest locations

  • matt gregory

The perfect boss would be someone who brings out the best in me for me to be a better person somebody else wrote “with a respect between us ” and I have to agree, some one who is totally down to earth, with a deep heart, vast consciousnesses, superior inner strength and a warm chill glow and vibe. Now I could have come up with something funny or ridiculous but I guess I’ve worked for to many losers and scumbags that it gets old quick.
    Peace!

  • http://n/a Travis C

My ideal boss would be myself, but considering that’s not possible and at my job now I currently have 10 bosses (yeah, you read that right, I have 10 reps who boss me around all day long, it’s like an episode of Office Space)….

I’m going to make my own boss.

    Characteristics are as follows:
    Brad Pitt’s cane(support-y)
    Natalie Portman’s rapping skills (badass-y)
    Seth Rogan’s cajones(ballsy)
    Lassie’s courage (devotion-y)

In closing, my boss would be named Bratalie Lassigan and be the best boss on earth because they would support me when I need it (support), give me the imagination to do more (rappage), give me the courage to stand up for my convictions (courage), and be ballsy enough to push the limits day after day (cajones). Afterall, that’s what riding is all about, pushing the limits the most creative way possible.

Thanks for all you do guys!

I cast my vote for Josh Dirkson. A Class act. Goofy Foot. Don’t have to relocate cause we already ride the same Goofy lines! This guy knows how to throw a party and has serious pull so I know we’d be hosting a regular Who’s Who on our home mountain. Seriously, this guy’s style is so clean he could run for congress based solely on his WildCat!! Dirkson for BOSS 2012!

So between the chilling, the shredding, the fishing, and everything in between, Chris Bradshaw would be the best boss.

  • Darrow Way

My Dream Boss would have to be Mark Sollors because his style is awesome.

  • Austin Hutch

  • Colby Demaray

My dream boss would be the designer of these bindings. first off he has one sick sense of taste and you can tell he must have a creative personality. I would love to work for a company that obviously takes pride in their work and puts as mush creativity as possibly into their what they do. My dream boss would be: MY BOSS! boss of a “boring-in-front-of-the-computer-sitting-engineering-company-in-town-far-away-from-the-mountains”. But having a huge understanding for letting me go snowboarding whenever I want, whenever there’s is a snowforecast and a whenever he sees snowflakes in my eyes! Great boss, thanks!

  • Nils

I’ve already found my boss: The snow and the mountains, they’re like one being.

Once on the board, they’re telling me what’s right and what’s wrong. They always show me the right direction and if i dont obey them it hurts,
if I do what they say I get payed with a lot of good feelings.

  • Larry “Steezy Ridah” Cote

Hmmm, there are just so many choices out there, i’d have to say Craig Kelly and Jeff Brushie. Two of the most influential snowboarders of my time and two guys that paved the way and brought snowboarding to a whole new level. Snowboarding was kind of frowned upon and not allowed at every mountain around the U.S. These two I really think how the aport was looked at in a freestyle aspect as well as all around riding!I do hope you all would agree with me that these two would be such great boss’s to work for. I’d rather work with these two guys than with one guy alone. Although there are so many awesome guys out there and I could go on for days, but these two are my choices.

    Steezy Ridah

My favorite boss would have to be Tanner Hall. Yes he is a skier… but he’s part owner of his own Cat Skiing op! He also owns his own recording label!
How awesome would working for a guy who owns a cat skiing op be?
    Inspired!

i would want kelly clark to be my boss because she has the most amazing style for a girl snowboarder and i still have a lot to learn and she would be the best female role model to look up to. i would also want her as a boss because all i ever think of doing is snowboarding and im not able to drive yet so if we were good friends she would be able to take me out to different mountains!

I would have to say working for Snowboarder Mag would just about be the ultimate. I guess their is no one name to go with this concept but nontheless I think it is a sound submission. I just started snowboarding and have the bug bad at age 42. Working for this magaize would give me access to top riders like Travis and I would get the inside track on gear and maybe even get to test some of it. I would be able to travel all over and snowboard, well at least some as the job would have to come first. Anyway, pairing the thing you enjoy and love the most with a job has to equal the best boss reguardless of who it actually ends up being.

I would want to be Shaun White. He is the best snowboarder ever!!!!!! I always dreamed of being like him with him doing corkscrews. He also has an awesome look. I don’t see any other people on brand gum. That is who I would want to be.

  • Angela Zhou

My dream boss is definitely going to be Mark Zuckerberg. Meeting the CEO and creator of facebook/actor would be like a dream come true! He could tell me everything and anything about facebook!

  • Trevor Harpur

I would want Charlie sheen to be my boss so he could teach me how to be a Winner!!!

  • Tommi Kanerva
