Another Friday… another giveaway. For this week’s Free Goods Friday we are giving you the chance to walk away with a new pair of Union “Lady Flite” bindings. Yes that means they are woman’s bindings. With a nod to the binding name… we want to know about your dream trip. In the comment section below tell us where you would fly to if you could go anywhere in the world you wanted and why. We will pick our favorite answer to get hooked up… with the bindings… not the flight to anywhere in the world. Get commenting.

New Zealand. Season goes June-October, perfect timing.

I’d definitively fly over to Oregon and shred hood during the spring and into the summer. The season ends really early where I live so by the middle of march I’m done riding for he next like 9 months.

If I could be flown anywhere in the world I would have to say it’d be to Juneau, Alaska. I have always dreampt of traveling to Alaska to board on Eaglecrest mountain and for that much pow I’m going to need some seriously dependable bindings and Union bindings are some of the best no questions asked.

  • PJ

When you said “with a nod to the binding name” I thought you wanted us to right about our dream trip involving a Lady, not a flight, which would be 2 completely different trips…

My dream flight would be to Korea so I could show my family their history…Plus I always hear all these great stories of the snow in Japan but never anything about Korea so I’d like to see what it’s like to go snowboarding in my home land.

  • justin

i would fly to the moon. and be the first person to shred it on a snowboard

  • Rebecca

I would fly to Japan because I have never been and heard the pow is epic…steep and deep with pillow lines allll day!! With the lightest bindings out there, I could really fly.

If I could just go anywhere on a dream trip I’d pack my bags and set off to Burma. I’d take some serious convincing and probably some bribing to get into the country with snowboarding equipment. From then it’d be domestic flight to the north, a 10day jungle trek past some separatist guerrillas until finally I’ll reach my destination. I would wait long before I’d strap on my new bindings and be the first to ride down the Northern Burmese Himalayas. It’d be an adventure of some sort and a world first. But, then again – when it comes to dreams you shouldn’t set yourself limits, right?

i’d fly to Aspen so i could hang out with Harry & Lloyd.

Lloyd: What the hell are we doing here, Harry? We gotta get out of this town!
Harry: Oh yeah, and go where? Where are we gonna go?
Lloyd: I’ll tell you where. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I’m talking about a little place called Aspen.
Harry: Oh, I don’t know, Lloyd. The French are assholes.

If I could go anywhere in the world right now I would fly to Oregon so I could hang out in Hood. Even though it’s not out of the country or anything I love the atmosphere out there. All the people are fun to hang out with, you can snowboard all day and skate all night and there’s cobra dogs! It’s also the best place to learn new tricks that you can carry right into next season. The snow is soft enough, there are airbags, and it’s warm enough where I don’t mind hiking some rails!

  • Alex

    Alaska!Good snow guaranteed!!

  • Thomas

I would fly to japan, not only for the shredding but also for the cultural experience. There is no other place like it on earth. And whitewalling some Japanese powder in my new unions would hurt either :D

I would go back home to Macedonia, where the ancient greek once roamed, and show them something called snowboard. With their eyes amazed by such thing i would show them how macedonian blood shreds aggressivley down the undiscovered mountains. Then i would just get shitfaced, party hard, and do it again!

  • Alex

I woulld fly to new zealand in our summer and snowboard. Then come back to California and shred Mammoth in winter and spring.

  • Andy

I would take a flight to Australia which makes a stop in Japan. Why Japan? I’ve seen so much videos from the epic snow pillows in Japan. I can’t believe this. It’s impossible to have so much untouched pow. Why Australia? Because I always wanted to shred at the Australian Alps. From the Jib Park till down to the beach and swich my board into a surfboard and kill the wave.

  • Victoria Terentyeva

I’d definitely fly to the BC where there is snow all round the year..and stay there)) snow and cold makes me alive, as much as sun gives warmth to the earth. Now when it is spring and everything and everyone are blossoming, i’m literally in pain cause i’m allergic to pollen.it’s simply intolerable – sneezing all the time, eyes red, running nose.so you guys be thankful for a good health!!and about the trip..i’d ride a snowboard every day because it’s my biggest dream and obsession- i was riding just for one single hour in my entire life..and nobody believed it was my first time!! I even started bouncing on trampolines and doing flips and stuff..omg i’m lovin it!!!and the wisest thing i’ve learned so far- you’re never too old and never listen to anybody but yourself only!!!

  • Megan

I would fly around and around and around the world so that I was going forward in time! Then I’d stop in the future after they’ve figured out teleportation. I’d teleport all the time to wherever the snow was dumping and the music was playing and live the dream. :)

  • Gabs

I would fly to Niseko in Japan because they have some of the best powder in the world besides some of our homeland North American resorts. But only with all of the Bear homies to ride fresh tracks and pillows for days. They might say no friends on pow days, but the best days are pow days with friends!

  • http://www.flickr.com/8thhouse Kimberly Wilkins

I would fly to Scotland and visit Loch Ness Lake in search of Nessie.

  • clayton ruland

I would fly to alaska, because i was planning to live there for a short time anyways and the vast mountain range would give me more opportunity to shed. New day, new slope. And Union bindings are the only bindings i would trust to help me accomplish this goal.

  • Renee

I just recently saw a snowboard trip to Japan advertised and it’s definitely been added to my bucket list. I think the draw for me is not only boarding on amazing mountains and sweet powder but couple it with experiencing an entirely new culture and what an ultimate adventure that would be!

  • Megan Palmer

Oregon. Mount Hood baby. I think I would just live there if I could. Obviosly I cannot wait for this summer. High Cascade all the way!

  • Lindsey

If I could fly anywhere in the world, i would whole heartedly/100% go to brisbane,Australia.

Why? My best friend died three weeks ago after she flew back to Australia to take care of her sick mom. She was originally from whistler and you could always find her tearing it up on the hill… I got a phone call after not hearing from her for awhile two weeks ago, and she had gotten into a car with a drunk driver. She was killed instantly in a head on collision. I would go to Australia because she is still my best friend, will always be my best friend.. She’s just not able to come to the phone anymore :’(. I would go to help her mom
Out for abit, and to pay my respects to her gravesite. It’s a depressing answer but I guess it’s an answer.

  • Danika Richard

If I could fly anywhere in the world…I would fly somewhere there is snow! It honestly would not bother me where as long as there is some snow, that I have my snowboard gear and that I can snowboad <3 Wheather your board on snow from the Alps or from the Canadian Rockies snowboarding is snowboarding!

Dropping in from the heighest mountains to landing in the streets of quebec to the winter jungles of india! Monkeys!!

  • http://traveloutloud.net Katie

Brazil! It’s a beautiful place with beautiful people. The food is amazing too. So much culture to participate in! No snow there but you can surf. You have to do something during the summer months right? New bindings would mean more money to go ride this winter.

  • Rommel P

I would fly to Seattle, WA to save money on shipping fees (haha). I’m a pretty simple man. Actually going to Seattle would be nice. I’m a big fan of the town and everything it has to offer. The unique music scene, UW Basketball, Sonics Basketball (RIP), Dick’s Drive In, Piroshki’s. Man I’m making myself hungry!

  • mark schmitt

Patagonia because I watched 180 degrees south and now I need an epic adventure. Plus the name sounds like dinosaurs live there.

  • http://snowboardermag.com Luke Potter

I’m from Upstate New york and i shred on a small local mountain called Hunter Mountain. Get’s boring riding the same mountain everyday. So the place i would love to travel to and shred would be Big Bear Lake, CA. Ive never been there but sometime in my life i will go there. It’s just the place to get some riding done.

  • Lindley

Considering Tailgate Alaska is now over, i’d aim for New Zealand. I’ve had 160 days of straight ski bummin’ it this winter so I would lay with the sun in my face and a beer in my hand on the beach. I would shred the waves, bring my goggles to work on that gogg tan, and then pack up my shiny new Union bindings, my board… and shred as soon as their season starts there. But before I strap on my bindings, I will get on my facebook and update my status, “My fellow Whitefishians… I just got hooked up with some SUPER FLYYYYYY UNION bindings and I suggest you all go out and purchase yourself a pair… and I guarantee you will never go back. I’m in New Zealand, see you when the snow comes. #snowboardmaghooksitup”

    Japan – FRESH POW BRAH

  • April

This is my second season snowboarding and i pushed really hard to be able to ignore my fear of heights and enjoy the experience. Recently tried long boarding and didnt find the same confidence haha. I would love to travel to japan, its kind of cliche i guess.. but ive been there before to visit family when i was younger. We didnt do much while i was there, i guess because they didnt know much entertainment outside work and school. If i were able to go back, i would introduce them all to snowboarding, and would show them how liberating it feels to ride!

  • Everett

Honestly I would fly to Kentucky to see my grandmother who is very sick at the moment
I’ve. Ever left Colorado in my 24 years of living and If I could and had the chance to fly anywhere yupp you got it I’d choose Kentucky …

  • Lindsey

A trip huh? Well I would have to stay somewhat local and fly down to Mt. Hood. I live in eastern washington and shred Schweitzer Mt. As much as I possibly can. Shredding is not just my hobby it’s my piece of mind. There is nothing better than standing at the top and taking a deep breath before you drop into the freshest pow pow of your life. And after a long glorious day celebrate with a few PBR’s.

  • Christopher

I would take my girlfriend to Japan and we would go snowboarding, Japan has a sick history and one of the most interesting cultures plus boarding haha. Can’t get much better than that.

  • Alison

If I had the choice to fly anywhere I’d like to goto Tokyo, Japan because I feel like I need to let mysel become more cultured considering I’ve only been to western locations and I would learn a lot from letting myself be indulged in a different set of cultural values. I also really love the culture itself from its cuisine to anime and even their lifestyle. It’s one of my top ten places I’d like to go before I die.

  • francesca smith-dedrick

If i could fly anywhere in the world it would be to alaska. I have always wanted to go heli boarding in back country alaska. And my dogs would love running around in all that fresh powder. They love it just as much as i do. Sometimes even more!

  • Katie

I have been snowboarding for a couple of years now. I’ve been doing a program called “Special Skiers.” It’s where snowboarders and skiers come together to help out the children who are physically disabled be able to have the joy of going snowboarding. This past winter my sister and myself helped out two little girls around the age of 7, who had serial polski disease. They were the two sweetest girls you could have ever met. Neither of them had been snowboarding before. This was a new experience for me. (To help out a special skier who had never been snowboarding before.) We went up north for a weekend. We went to nub’s Nob, up in northern Michigan. That was one of the best times that I’ve ever been snowboarding. This season, that same sister and myself are going on a senior trip to Colorado! I’m very excited for this trip! I’ve been waiting for it for quite some time. I’m doing the special skiers events again, but, we are going to go in the spring so then we won’t have to miss any of the special skier dates. I would use these bindings every where I went! If I were to win these bindings, oh boy.. that would just make my life!

  • tony danza

I would fly to the moon. “Why,” you might ask. Because its the freaking Moon that’s why!

  • Theodore

I would like to fly in Greece because Greece has beautiful islands and beaches! Also by being there I would support their economy which is not very good!

  • Max Worhatch

I’d have to go with heli-skiing in Denali in Alaska because I have spent every summer of my life in Alaska, but have yet to conquer one of its mountains (via snowboard). The state means a lot to me because it is one of the few remaining frontiers that has yet to be conquered by civilization and the spiritual connection I share with nature up there would make snowboarding there all the better.

  • Callie

I would love to go to Austria where my mom was born, so I could hike up and snowboard down the same mountain my grandparents did so they could go skiing. About 55 years ago when they lived in Austria, they would would spend the morning hiking up the mountain that was practically their backyard, then ski down, then hike up once more and ski down again and that would be their whole day. How amazing it would feel to ride down after taking the time to climb up!

  • Ita K

Sweden!!!! My cousin was airlifted to the top and made his way down, nothing but fresh powder!!!!! BOOYAHHH!!!!

  • Jamie

I’d fly to the Cape and shred at Tiffindell. How many people can say they’ve gone snowboarding in Africa? Then I would go to Gansbaai and do a shark cage dive. Rad!

  • Veronica

I would go anywhere with powder. Somewhere no one has ever been before!

  • Kimberly

i remember when i was a kid (late 80′s) my father showed me this article on crested butte colorado. There was insane powder and a cabin/lodge in the middle of nowhere where the pros in the story stayed at, it was like they had the world to themselves. To this day whenever i think of a “dream” destination/setting for snowboarding, it is Crested Butte, CO.

  • Jenny

If I could take a trip anywhere, I’d fly to a country with a sketchy black market where i could buy some new joints and bones so I could shred again. I miss it so much. One more year and I’ll be back c:

  • Sarah

I would fly to Niseko, Japan. Beast pow in the world, for the back country terrain and the culture.

  • Cat

If I had a choice to fly anywhere in the world..it would have to be out to Mars! Mt. Olympus would be where I want to shred if I had a ‘flite’ outta here!

Kyoto or Nakayama Pass, Japan. My husband loves snowboarding and I’m
slowly getting the bug. Japan would be gorgeous to visit – we could
snowboard AND sight see. I hear its beautiful.
And, if we take his best friend, who is also his snowboard buddy, I’m
sure he’ll find a cute snow bunny like me, and he’ll stop taking my
husband away on snowboard trips without me! :)

P.S.- I love the blue on these bindings! They would go great with my
    Solomon board.

Dream trip…DREAM TRIP?? We’ll start off flying to Vancouver, BC where we bum a ride to Whistler and tear up the best parks in the world (IMO). Next is a flight to Anchorage, AK with a short trip south to Alyeska to shred the endless pow fields. NOT DREAMY ENOUGH YET! Back on a plane and on the way to San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina only minutes away from South Americas largest resort, Cerro Catedral. Finally it’s time to wind down the trip with some mellow celebration in Queenstown, NZ and a tour of some local gnar to shred. I’M DROOLING! We would probably make it back to the states in time for the beginning of our own winter. BOMB! I think Union Bindings should come along for the ride, all it takes is the complimentary FLITE :)

I would go anywhere there is snow.

  • Bobby

Anywhere i would have to say to fly out and see my uncle and cousins in tahoe moneys real tight and a great snowboarding trip out there would be a first for my family. Growing up around mountain creek is great but think my mountain is only a preview to my uncles with amazing pow!

  • Lindley

I forgot to mention in my comment below… it doesn’t matter where I go… wherever the plane takes me i’ll be shreddin for A-ROB! Yeah boi, shred life.

  • Nicole Helbling

I would fly to Argentina, great country with different climate zones, snowy Mountains beside Beaches….so nice.
But I also love it here in Switzerland ;-)

  • Kristi

Without thought I´d go to Maldives to dive in deep blue waters of Indian Ocean to see hundreds of Manta Rays feed underwater with the lunar tide. Why? Nothing compares to the exceptional feeling of thrill, excitement, freedom, adrenaline and admiration when you dive near hundreds of massive marine beasts that fly in the water and cover the sun itself like huge dragons. Maybe only flying down the Alps on my board through untouched and painfully white snow can put up adventure equally alike.

  • lindsey

I would take a trip to wherever they have snow everyday of the year, high up in the mountains and create my own ski resort. and shred for free anytime all day and all year

  • Nicole

probably the mountain k2, because I heard you can shred it down on a snowboard. But I have to say I’m not sure if this is true

  • Nina

New Zealand. Coz then i wouldn´t bother where I`d rather live: by the sea or on a mountain. CHEA

  • Matt H

I would go to Norway so I could shred right now and so I could ride with Torstein and some of his homies.

  • Aliza

If I could fly anywhere in the world my “flite” would be to Japan to ride some awesome pow and get my slashes perfected with these Union Bindings!

  • Bryce

I would go to Africa to help all of the people that need help

  • aiden chmura

Hi my name is Aiden. Im 12 years old and I love snowboarding! If i could go anywhere in the world, I wuld go to switzerland. i wold take help trips near Zermatt and the Matterhorn. I would make backcountry jumps like the pros do and I would try tricks I have never done into the fluffy pow. I live in vermont and it is really icy so it hurts really bad to fall but in all of the powder that I herd was in the swiss alps I wouldn’t even touch the ground. This would be the most amazing trip of my life. Other trips that would be sick could be Alaska, California, New Zealend, or Washington

If I could go anywhere in the world, I’d pack my snow gear and take a flight to Mt.Hood, OR. Their season lasts much longer than here in Tahoe. I’d be able to hit the slopes everyday unlike here where its a couple times a season because I live a couple hours drive away. It’d be a lot more fun up there than here. I heard there’s a lot of powder up in Oregon and no taxes! Lol. I’d have my own cabin and I bet the view from Mt. Hood would be breathtaking. They have summer snowboarding up there too! Nothing better than the feeling you get in the air, anticipating the landing. Seems like the whole world stops for a second. All the more reason to visit or possible move. I’d look forward to everyday on the slopes. Also it is near my grandparent’s house too, so I’d pay them a visit as well. Sounds like the perfect escape to me! (:

P.S. I’ve been needing some new bindings and Unions are the best IMO.

  • Rachel Millard

I would like to snowboard Iran like Craig Kelly did in ’96, or in and around the region east of it, including India/China/Tibet/Kashmir, etc. Call it snowboarding as change or what have you, but to experience these cultures, the people, while getting even just a few turns on some extraordinary and challenging mountains would truly be epic.

  • Bob Edgren

I would Love to fly to New Zealand in August!
August is the Hottest month of the year here in AZ and flying to New Zealand to have Fun in the snow going boarding would be my Dream trip!
That is how I get through the summer here, dreaming I am really in New Zealand playing in the Snow!

  • Stas Milev

If I could travel anywhere, I would go to Whistler and Alaska as I have never been there but these places are seen to be one of the most beautiful in the World (’1000 places to see before you die’) and I would like to learn how to snowboard there

  • Steph Lambrix

BORA BORA! I love the way the water looks.. like blue kool-aid. It is the cliche picture of what a vacation spot should be. Little huts on top of crystal clear water. Glass floors so one can see to the coral sea floor. a perfect spot to warm up after a great season of riding!

  • Nikolai

    Where? Everywhere.
Why? The world is my playground.

  • fota

I would probably go to Island. The nature is very amazing. It would be great to go around and go snowboarding there. It would be a dream come true.

    a poem of Love

The land of the rising sun
    pillows and pillows of fun

    A flight across the pacific
    first class would be terrific

New ladies Unions on my feet
    no other company can compete

Now about the fact that if i can

    I would most definitely
    fly to Japan

  • Jakey boy

I’d go California! I’d roll with snoop and wiz.
    Sun+Beach+snow= best place EVER

  • Jeremy Roth-Rose

Patagonia because it’s a remote and epic destination that has snowboarding.

  • Gabe H

I would hit up Cali. I could hit up the beach and then board in the same day! That would be awesome. Plus I need this because my current bindings don’t really fit my board…

  • Zoe

I would fly back to Alaska <3 I stayed for a week this January with my friends up there. I had known them as e-friends for 3 years and finally made the trip to go see and ride with them. It was a life changing experience for me, the snow was amazing, the company was amazing, and I built some friendships that I hope I keep forever. There's a lot of places I would like to find myself someday, but sooner then later, I would love to be back in AK : ) with my snowboard friends.

  • Fitzy

I would fly not on a plane but to the top of mountain peak in Alaska. its were iv always dreamed of snowboarding. Its the place where snowboard films are made and powder is plentiful, it is the ultimate Paradise and would shred in those sweet bindings

  • Chrissy

I would fly to New Zealand. I’ve never been but the Nike vids of the boarding there are insane. Specifically I’d pick the Taranaki coast, because the slopes are supposed to be amazing but not deadly, and I’m still a bit of a rookie. Plus they have sweet surfing, and surfing/boarding in the same day is something I’d love to cross off my bucket list.

  • http://snowboardermag amber

I would want to fly to either (NELSON – BC) Want to ride the pow there in a seriously baad way ! get supernatural !! or else I would LOVE to fly to colorado – and SEND the mine shaft kicker with my man !!
    cheers !! guys whooo !!!

  • Mason Bradford

I would fly to some distant planet. I would find a planet with snow and be the first person to snowboard on a different planet.

  • Katie

My biggest dream since the age of 18 has been to fly to Japan; buy some golf clubs, grab a bucket of golf balls, take loads of acid and bosh the golf balls off a cliff into the Sea of Japan. After a trip to Niseko, riding pow through the trees, of course.

  • Phil Ceasar

Yeah those bindings would look sick on my board spinning what ever hit gets in my way, but maybe the color could change to neon green since thats the new trend.

  • Jessica

All through my life I been to so many mountains in the US. If i could fly anywhere it would be to Europe and road trip it to every mountain and resort. A true dream for any snowboarder.

  • Jezz

This is too hard of a question. I would honestly go anywhere in the world. :)

  • Jen

I would go to Aspen so that I can backflip over my fiance going off one of those giant Xgames booters!

  • Laura W

“It’s not the destination, but the adventure along the way..” (Travis Rice, but how does Patagonia sound? To make fresh tracks in a place that no one else before me has ever been. Let it snow.

  • Boris

There will be just one place I shouldn’t go.. Home.

  • http://facebook.com/juansanma juan san martin

I would fly to the top of mt.everest so i can shred that beast, yolo

  • Dakota Taguinod

I would fly to New Zealand and parachute my way down to shred with a helmet camera.

  • Jamie

Dreams are outside the control of a dreamer.

Adventures are exciting, unusual experiences, bold and risky with unknown outcomes.

So lets make mine a mix of both – close my eyes, hope for snow, lay out a map, throw a dart at it and travel to wherever it lands.

  • Tarce

There are only few places that I wouldn’t want to fly to. Though if i were to choose 1 place it would have to be Austria as it is a unique place, with its vast range of snow fields and vibrant culture there wouldn’t be a dull moment had.

  • Nico

I would fly to kool aid mans house do I could get all of the kool aid in the world

  • David Son

I just want to get my just started this year girlfriend snowboarding more better. Borrowed a really old over 10 year old board/binding set this past season for her and it didn’t turn out as good as a modern set would. Will have to find a nice board to match this up with from your reviews.

Did Utah last year and Colorado this so next year it’s Whistler!

  • mark gassler

I would pull an endless winter by following the great pow throughout the world. Ride the crap out of the world to see and feel the different powder the world has to offer. Start in the wonderful states and slowly make my way across the globe. It would be epic

  • Emily N.

I would fly around the world and go snowboarding with the Union Bindings that I might win :)

  • Rebecca

When do you release the winning response?

  • bill mantooth

A mission trip to the Andes. To share Jesus and give away avalanche beacons to ski resorts and ski patrol guides that don’t have them.
