Gigi’s been repping dragon for years. he’s and original, uber creative rider that can ride just about anything reasonably well. Dragon also hooks up the snoqualmie park crew, im pretty sure i love what those guys do and they ride damn well. so Gigi and the summit parks crew.

  • Rachele

Well it isn’t that hard to decide. Jamie Lynn has been around for ages and produces a lot of originality. I would say he is the leader of the pack and deserves recognition for his bad a** moves and dedication to the team. I can provide my own recognition and say he is my favorite global rider. Keep it up Jamie… we love to see you ride!

  • Eric

Jamie Lynn, for sure. He helped mold Dragon into what it is today. He made those glasses “cool,” at a time when the market was pretty even, with the other pretty new sunglass companies out (Arnette, Black Flys). Project 6. Enough said.

  • Richard

Gigi Ruf! The one and only!!

  • spencerdudeman

Gigi ruf he’s a crazy man. And he’s like 5’7 and i’m like 5’8 so we have a ton in common and pretty much hang out. wassup.

  • Krejči

    Simon Chamberlain

  • Khook12

Gigi for sure! He has that creative style that keeps you hooked on watching him. He has that sick look and definatly reps Dragon the best. He definatly loves to ride and that is what it is all about.

  • bud_ah_bunz

    totally forgot about jamie lynn

  • Grant Giller

Simon Chamberlian. But Gigi’s goggles are the sickest

  • test

    test

  • Alex Edwards

Jamie Lynn has been holding it down for years and looking good at it too. And Gigi has stepped up the level of snowboarding like WHAT. But Simon Chamberlin is my favorete Dragon rider. His part in CHILD SUPPORT was soooo sic!! He has got some CLEAN STYLE on and off the slopes

  • bobby g

learned lipslides skating with ben ross yesterday. up and coming talent, always has a good attitude, real cool guy, and straight rips on a snowboard. yea east coast

  • Jacob Wehler

Gigi Ruf because he is just sick, he may be short but he is explosive when he is shreddin’ the gnar!

  • Bigfoot

Gotta go with jamie. No matter what he does it always makes me go wow.

  • Keenan

Wolfgang, partly because he seems real humble, like a good dude, and partly because of his opener in Optimistic? to TV on the Radio…EPIC.

  • RallyInspired

I’d have to say Wolle Nyvelt. This guy charges so hard but for some reason is in the shadow of muller and gigi, despite winning rider of the year. He pretty much had a cameo in everybody elses part in optimistic? and had the sickest shots in Ready with the damn rides. Not to mention he makes his own powder snow skates and does legit lines on them. What will it take for this guy to get some cred?

  • gintaras

Simon Chamberlain, cos he trying harder.

  • nick

Gigi Ruf! Because he can make it rain electric hellfire all day! Haha, just kidding. He can rain hammers down all day though, with a smooth, fluid style and creativity that makes it seem as though it doesn’t take much effort. Of course we all know otherwise. Another reason I’m backing Gigi is because I look up too him. Why? Because I feel that Gigi is a humble guy, who rides a wooden board down the mountain for the most important reason to do so, for the sheer fun of it all. I would consider Gigi to be the definition of a pure, core snowboarder. And I do not believe that I am the only one with these beliefs.

  • abel

    simon and gigi the best

  • Brian

Simon Chamberlain…so smooth. Guy makes everything look so easy whether he’s in the park or the streets or the backcountry. Super humble guy who’s putting it all into snowboarding. Plus Nomis is putting out real slick stuff. The guy is doing stuff on the snow and behind the scenes.

  • Bug

GiGi Ruf, his unique riding is nothing short of inspiring, his big mountain shredding is fluent and gutsy, some of his gap transfers have me wearing out the rewind button on my remote, he’s a living legend…

  • chris

as for riding ill go with gigi killin it in the videos you guys are running on your website. especialy when he cuts loose the avalanch and while escaping he launches himself 300 feet to ass check in the flats. that just crazy. when it comes to jamie lynn he is a standard i already have a pair of his vans that i got flowed last season its not just the riding/art its the man.

  • boozy

this used to be called free shit friday, right? i wonder if the abnormally small size of a corporate watchdog’s balls actually causes them pain.

  • Terry Mulderrig

My choice is Danny Davis, and here is why.I believe a real snowboarder is an all arond snowboarder and Danny can do it all…Rails,Park,Pipe and Pow…I have mad respect for Jamie Lynn, but this question is in 2009 so i fell Danny dererves the Title!

  • capnz

my choice is simon chamberlain cause hes a sick all around rider with extra special skills on street rails gigi ruf and jamie are awesome riders and i totally respect them but they’re old news cause simon keeps getting better and better.

  • Kellan Roman-Barnes

Yeah i’d defs say Simon Chamberlain, he throws down.

  • Brooks

Danny Davis is hands down the steeziest rider on Dragon. The way he rides pipe, even in contests, just makes you want to watch every run he takes. Danny’s jump skills are on the same level as a lot of top riders, but it’s his style that makes you say “oh damn dude”. Spinning, riding pipe, backcountry, whatever, Danny’s style is unique and unmatched. Danny’s the dopest. Period.

  • WaxCowboy

Haha. Back when i first started snowboarding, I remember watching Gigi in all the videos. And after 8 years he’s still on top of the game, and everyone here already knows it, he’s gettn everyone’s vote. He’s been on top of the game for years. Gigi, hands down.

  • Joey nev

Simon Chamberlain is for sure my favorite rider for Dragon. He has progressed so much since i first saw him in the DC Mtn lab movie and is always coming up with sick trick ideas keeping snowboarding fresh. Hes got the business part of snowboarding down too and im always stoked on his Nomis gear. No doubt Simon rules.

  • mike carucci

Matt Hammer video master. Even though he is not well know as a contest rider he has made a name for himself in videos.

  • Ben Rupp

John Jackson. He Rips, He Fishes, He Rips into fishes? Hell I don’t know… you’ve seen him ride haven’t you? that dude is the shit, end of story.

  • Kylie Culver

gigi, no doubt. the man rides like none other. always keepin’ it fresh. he rides hard, and yet so smooth. he’s got mad skill. gigi serves the dragon name well. he’s a pro.

  • Jamesy T

Gigi Ruf. He kills it. Always inspired by the things he does. Corks and inverts on so many huge huge kickers he puts it on the line.

  • Karlis Leilands

Simon Chamberlain. There’s no doubt! Because he has this amaizing style that I can’t stop admire.

  • freshkush

simon cuz hes a strate balla

  • sam s

Its Simon Chamberlain for sure. He always is having fun while snowboarding which is what it should be about not to metion he has awsome style on any thing he does rails or backcountry plus he can throw down some hammers like the nollie gap to front board in down with people.

  • Jeremy McCormick

MR. Chamberlain haha one of his videos didnt work on his dragon profile page but instead there ones this music video with all these hot brazilian chicks dancing and stuff that was sweet and the kid getting hit in the face with the soccer ball was hafuckinglarrious MOST importantly though in me picking my favorite rider was the ender he threw down “the nose press 180 ta fakie nospress 180 out” it looks as if he’s so close to clipping that handrail tech-style-N-bals steeze all squinched togeather into a sick hammer..!

  • hater hater

Although I would agree with some of the previous posts that Gigi Ruff is the best rider on the Dragon optics global team, My favorite rider personally is Danny Davis. He has, in my opinion, one of the best styles in snowboarding. He competes in the half pipe which is a pretty diciplined sport ( like it or not) and still ends up standing out because of his laid back and individual style. Also I would like to point out that Dragon must be killing it for Danny because im sure the guys at burton made a valient effort to get him on Anon.

  • Henry Cook

    Gigi!

  • Whitney Yacovella

Gigi for sure. His fluidity and style make him the master snow ninja of air, slope, and angle. Who else can bust a huge trick in the back country, shred powder on the steepest faces and mange to make it look flawless? He defiantly keeps it real, parallel universe or not. Way to rock it.

  • Norah Nijkamp

Wolle Nyvelt! He is the hottest guy on the team!

  • huntizzle

GiGi 4 sho he’s got that dopest swag on a board i have ever scene his style is just outrageous i also like his opener in ready wit the funkadelic music

  • evan

gotta be between gigi and danny. both have intense backcountry skillz. just look at absinthe films – optimistic. danny davis is cool as hell but i think gigi takes it. he has that wonderful flowfulness that you just cant even imagine being able to do. its like you watch him take off, fluidly rotate and grab and whatnot. and then he always lands seemingly without impact, and it just makes you wanna sigh with relief. hes satisfying to watch, and easily the best on the dragon global team.

  • DRome

Simon chamberlin is most definatley holding shit down for dragon. not only is his style land-o-lakes smooth, making some of the dopest tricks look even doper, but hes part owner of a serious core brand that gives back to snowboarding, hes like a canadian MFM son!

  • Grant

Danny Davis for sure! Grew up shredding in the icy Midwest, went to school out East to honed his shred skills, and now lives out West and can shred anything put in front of him. From rails to pipe to back country to anything imaginable DD does it all and does it well!

  • Patrick Bravo

    Matt Hammer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chris

I have to give my vote to Gigi. I just watched him ripping up the back country in Ready, I can’t wait to see what he has in store for this years’ Absinthe film. When I went to Dragon site to check out the bios of their riders, Gigi had a great little video riding down a staircase, where he used the steps the rails and the banked snow on the edge of the stairs. Very cool! And the design of his goggles is top notch, simple and stylish.

  • Derek Campbell

I like Shaun McKay because of his sick parts in all three people movies. Sick style and he seems like a cool guy to kick it with.

  • Arno Kerckaert

    Danny Davis for shure!!!
