Seabrook, New Hampshire’s Scotty Lago had quite the winter in ’09/’10. It all started in Park City, Utah at the final stop of the US Grand Prix qualifier series, where Lago was officially named to the 2010 US Olympic Team. Scotty has long been a respected name within our tiny, shred-specific set, but it was his performance at Cypress, bronze medal acquisition, and ultimately, his après-Olympic expulsion from Vancouver that placed him directly in the general public’s eye. However, everyone loves Lago, and hordes of Americans (along with his fellow peers) stood behind him after his appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show where Scotty showcased an air of nonchalance regarding the whole matter and an innate ability to simply laugh at the ridiculousness of his Olympic “scandal.” Mind you, that was only a few months of his season. After the media circuit circus, Scotty then managed to nab second place at the King of the Hill in AK and spend countless hours in front of the lens before migrating back to the Granite State to cool off from his long-winded winter. Scotty Lago has been hustling, and sure enough, if you hustle to your computer right now, go to snowboardermag.com and enter to win Lago’s head-to-toe setup, you could very well be the proud new owner of the busiest man in the business’s full kit.
