As a snowboard journalist, it’s important to keep your opinions close to your puffy. In other words, a writer should try to be as objective and impartial as they can in order to provide the reader the right to generate their own opinions. I believe I am breaking that rule with this intro. Scott Stevens is quite possibly my favorite snowboarder to watch right now—his outside-the-box outlook allows him to see things others don’t, and after Stevens sets his sights on something during a session, he executes it with an impeccable style that’s only his own. Between his much-anticipated High Cascade summer edits and his video parts that drop every fall, Scotty Stevens has more eyes on him than a field of Idaho spuds, and it’s that exposure that has garnered him much of his well-deserved attention.
