Best of Test: Best Snowboards of Vermont
It would be unfair to judge snowboard juries out west and leave out the east, which is why we hit up the far corner of Stratton Mountain, VT on February 3-5. This notoriously icy locale didn’t fail us during our visit, with freezing single digit temps and a hill full of groomers, Best of Testers made their way through Stratton’s on-hill offerings to find which boards worked best. The results suggested that though it may be icy, park patrollers on the east aren’t giving up their freeride or fun freestyle shapes for razor sharp edges and stiff planks any time soon.

BEST SNOWBOARDS OF VERMONT
K2 JIBPAN
“Super buttery, this is a board that is stable both in the park and at speed. Add the rocker on the deck and riding at high speeds is effortless like surfing.”
-Tom, The Ski Shop Plus, (North Smithfield, RI)
ROME PUSHER
“Quick edge to edge, a different feel then the other two, felt more traditional without the catchiness.”
- Herb, Eastern Boarder, (Westford, MA)
LIB TECH SKATE BANANA
“It’s a blast. Super skatey, you can twist it around, its unbelievable. Great board. Definitely revolutionized the skateboard feel and even though I’m a freerider it’s a 10 for freestyle and just full of fun.”
-Ted, Teds Shoe and Sport, (Keene, NH)
