Boreal Team Video Challenge: Round 2

After a flood of votes for Round 1 of Boreal’s Team Video Challenge, the bHappy crew has emerged victorious. Congratulations to bHappy, who will move on to the semifinals, and a big thanks to Smokin Snowboards for their solid edit.

For Round 2 we have Shenanigans vs Jibles and Bits. Shenanigans features the best of the Boreal Terrain Park crew, while Jibles and Bits features Team Captain and 2009 Team Video Challenge Standout Rider, Mr. Jake Devine. Both edits are solid, so we expect another fierce round of voting. Good luck to both teams!

I THINK THE SECOND PIECE JIBBLES AND BITS SHOWED A MUCH MORE ROUNDED EFFECT OF RIDING. THE FIRST VID HAD SOME TECH RAILS BUT NOT MUCH FOR THE REST OF THE PARK. shenanigans: I see you guys did your best FOTD/t9 impression with the first half of that edit. Cole Taylor is the absolute last person in the world I would try and copy from, why would you think slow mo was a good idea? first song was boring, second song was played out as fuck and very unoriginal, and you cant hear any riding sounds. 2 thumbs down.

Jibles and bits: did you record this off your tv? overall, clearly better than shenangians, but no chance in hell to advance any further after this round.

jibles and bits looked like it was filmed with a cell phone and was not smooth at all. i really like the quality and creativity of shenanigans. i would much rather see and slow yet really smooth edit with great quality then one with shaky shots and bad angels. my vote is most definitively for shenanigans

I dont know why people would hate on shenanigan’s? jibles and bit’s filming and editing was some of the worst i have ever seen. Why would they assume that was good enough for a $5k video contest? in between every shot there was some sort of shit I movie effect. Not professional at all.
Shenanigan’s filming was all smooth, edited clean, and song choice’s were understandable because of rule’s and regulation’s. That Back 3 over the wallride was one of the better trick’s i’ve seen out of all 4 edit’s that have been released! and the second part flowed really well.

Even Bhappy’s competitor in the last round was awful filming, awful music, and AWFUL editing. People need to respect those aspect’s a lot more. My vote is for Shenanigan’s.

Neither of these are worth $5000. voted for jibbles because way more variety of tricks and skill than the riders in shenanigans. the editing is gonna cost you though. shenanigans, good editing but lame music and alright tricks.

So do I really have to lay it down right now? Yes. Yes I do. Shenanagins offered a very smooth, easy to watch edit. The opening segment had professional looking dolly shots, clean riding, and marvellous follow cams on the rails. Its like they used a glidecam. Oh wait, they probably did. Also wanted to point out to everyone saying oooooohhhhh the whole edit was just slow mo, did you even watch it? First segment used the slow mo to show the technicality of the tricks but other than that you must have been high.

Now lets take a look at Jibbles and Bits. I actually liked the name. They had some nice tricks. But not versatile filming and editing. The filmer got bland shots and crappy angles. The editing was repetitive and lacked versatility. The overall quality lacked and isn’t worth 5 grand.

both teams are equally dope. Jibbles and Bits riders seem a little more skilled and ballsy but this is after all a VIDEO contest. Shenanigans production quality was tits so I gotta give it to them. Had this been a best trick contest it may have gone to Jibs. Good work to everyone who’s participated.

Shenanigans was well filmed and had epic tricks. I don’t know why people think that the tricks in jibbles were harder than what Dash was doing. Is it because he does things so clean and effortlessly? Also, THIS IS A FILMING COMPETITION. Following people around swining a camera is not going to cut it, Jibbles. It is obvious that shenanigans actually used quality film eqipment, thought and effort into their shots. Good job to both teams but in the end shenanigans should get to move forward. Word.

Tip #1 ..dont show a ton of crashes in you edit ( Jibbles ).

Both had great riding only one had smooth riding which showed better riding skills ( Shananigans ).

My Vote is for Shananigans but unfortunately it looks like this is voted up by the team who has more friends on Facebook and not by those that actually ride. If it was voted on by riders Shananigans would dominate.

It’s funny/shitty watching Shenanigan’s video now. Funny because so many people hated on him for not utilizing the jumps, yet he KILLED it in Dew Tour this last season. Shitty because Shenanigans lost even though they are clearly the better, more artistic team.
