This past Wednesday (Nov. 23rd) was Crested Butte Mt. Resorts 50th anniversary. This fact was widely known throughout the base area and lift lines, and the crowds were not taking it easy when it came to showing their appreciation. It was an awesome day filled with big smiles, retro costumes, Pabst Blue Ribbon and a handful of boarding. The weather was perfect, blue skies and temps in the high 40's making it feel almost like closing day. After the lifts shut down everyone headed down to town to keep the party rolling. Its not every day that your local resort turns 50 years old. Sure am glad the season has begun!
