In the world of snowboard cinematographers, Joe Carlino is one of the best. Although quiet and unassuming, Joe’s voice has echoed loudly throughout our community across silver screens, TV screens, computer screens, iphones and virtually any other device you can watch snowboarding on. From honing his craft filming at Bear Mt. To breaking some of snowboarding’s biggest stars of today in the TWS films, Joe has constantly been running and gunning along side of what is happening now in snowboarding and his editing is a creative and simplistic format that really showcases the riders and the tricks that they are pushing, no gimmicks. Joe is now at the helm of the much anticipated Nike film project which once again will feature some of Snowboarding’s biggest stars as well as the footage of some of snowboarding’s most important cinematographers. We caught up with Joe to discuss filming and what he’s been up to.
