Rider: Sean Genovese. Location: Hakuba, Japan. I new exactly how I wanted to shoot this gap once we rolled up on it. The only concern I had was the massive cornice above my head, just out of the frame. I guess sometimes we take risks in the streets and the backcountry. I like to think they’re calculated, and not reckless, but it’s good to be realistic and explore all the scenarios of what could go wrong. I got the shot, and got out of there quick, and luckily no cornices came down.
