Rewind: Kevin Jones Full Part

SNOWBOARDER Magazine is headed up to Mt. Hood this weekend for the third annual America’s Next Top Pro Model contest. Word on the street is that Kevin Jones might make an appearance, and this has our crew pretty damn excited. The guy is a legend, and thankfully for all of us, he decided to return to the world of snowboarding this past winter.

We decided to wage a little bet on our picks for the winners of each ANTPM category, and Kevin Jones emerged as the office favorite to with the “Spin To Win” contest. For proof, look no further than Kevin’s opening part from Mack Dawg Productions 2001 release, Stand & Deliver. The part earned Kevin his third straight SNOWBOARDER Magazine Rider of the Year award, a feat unmatched by any other rider to date. That same year, Kyle Clancy and Eddie Wall were recognized as SNOWBOARDER Magazine Standout Rookies. Both will be competing alongside Kevin next week.

    so underrated…one of the best ever. his old MDP parts killed it. such smooth style and progression–park, powder, back-country, rails. we forget how good he was, and how about his return!? a true snowboarder. much better than this mini-shred, baby-park stuff that seems to be so popular right now.
