Quiksilver rider Eric Willett won the Burton US Open slopestyle contest held today at Stratton in Vermont. The Breckenridge, CO-local led throughout the semi-finals and finals with a nearly flawless run made up of a frontside 270 boardslide, a backside tailslide 450 out, a Cab underflip 900, tailslide 270 out to a frontside 900 tail grab, and a final switch backside double cork 1080 mute grab. Willett’s double cork 1080 paired with consistent, smooth riding through the jib sections continues to bring home high scores. Just last month, the 22-year-old won slopestyle at the final Dew Tour stop, the Toyota Championships in Utah. Willett’s now packing his bags next for Tignes, France where he’ll attempt to defend his 2010 slopestyle gold at the European Winter X Games.

Snowbasin is a wrap. The Dew Tour has not only commenced up in the mountains, but also for the winter, as the men's and women's Dew Cup champs have been officially crowned with the culmination of slopestyle.
