Colorado came out in force to Red Rocks Amphitheater on Friday night for a snowboard video premiere event unlike any before it. With attendance surpassing 6000 (college coeds!), musical acts including Del the Funky Homosapien and The Cool Kids, the World Premiere of The Storming, and loads of free stuff; spirits were high.

Ticket-holders poured into the venue around 5pm and proceeded to demolish the free Evol burrito stand. Once consumed, their sights were set on samples of Monster Energy and free lift tickets to Echo Mountain. When every piece of free schwag had been pocketed or stomached the crowd formed an orderly line for the autograph signing. This being the World premiere of Standard’s new film The Storming and Never Summer’s Made In America (and the Colorado premiere of Think Thank’s Right Brain Left Brain) large contingencies from all the crews made it out to see their parts on the big screen for the first time.

The sun set over the hills as pens dried out. Musical acts hit the stage and people made laps to the concession stands for beer. Red Rocks shook and bounced through heavy base lines until it was time for the movies. If you think a snowboard video looks good on your parents 34 inch flat-screen, you should see what they look like at 80 feet.

Long story short the Never Summer guys stomped pow landings, the Think Thank Crew shredded what we never would have considered snowboarding on, and Standard film made us reconsider the limitations of snowboarding. It was a good night check the photos of what you missed below then go get these movies.
