Superpark Showdown 2011: Bataleon VS Wildcard

The third matchup of the Superpark® 15 Video Showdown presented by Gatorade has two top contenders dueling to take one step closer to the $5,000 first place prize. With over 800 snowboardermag.com visitors voicing their opinions via the “Like” style voting for the first faceoff, we feel compelled to recap the process by which you can decide the fate of one of these two Superpark® 15 filmmakers. Below each video featured here is an icon that presents an opportunity to “Like” the corresponding submission. Simply click the “Like” for the edit you like more. Voting will end 6/21/11 at 5PM PST.

Bataleon Snowboards
Riding under the veil of Don’t Sleep Productions, the Bataleon team stormed Superpark® in full force, and even brought with them their team mascot in full facemask. The Amsterdam-based brand themed their edit after the acclaimed comedy CB4 starring Charlie Murphy, Chris Rock and countless other comedians of the early 90s. In their video, riders like Kyle Lopiccolo pick apart the hip, David Bertschinger sends it into abyss, and Ted Lavoie allows a friend to provide a grab to his air-to-fakie on the quarter. Wildcard Movies
Wildcard has been flying the flag for the Northwest scene for a few seasons now. As the evolution of Soundstrait Productions and Funner Films, Wildcard has created a cult following among shred film viewers looking for top-level production values to match the talent onscreen. The skits in their latest release, The Saturday Night Ride, are some of the best ever to appear in a snowboard movie. For their Superpark® 15 Video Showdown submission, Wildcard focused on the action with original angles of some of the most talked about tricks of the week including Scott Blum’s Andrecht and Scott Vine’s one-foot 720. Longtime Wildcard player Pat McCarthy throws a heave-ho and adds some narrative to the package while riders like Seth Hill, Stefan Krumm, and Joe Mango make their mark at Mt. Bachelor. The Superpark® Showdown is presented by Gatorade. This interactive contest is a weekly video faceoff where two Superpark edits go head to head with the victor being decided by you, the snowboardermag.com viewer. The entry that receives the most votes each week advances to the next round.
