Superpark Showdown 2011: NuuLife VS Think Thank

// 47 COMMENTS

It’s time. Superpark 15 Video Showdown presented by Gatorade has officially kicked off, and the first round of filmers and riders vying for the $5,000 grand prize are revealed: Nullify Media vs. Think Thank. Last year, NuuLife made it all the way to the finals in a David vs. Goliath run to the top, while Think Thank advanced to the semis, only to be voted off the internet island. Who will win this heavy first round? Only you can decide that, by clicking the “Like” button underneath the video you like best. Let the frames begin! Voting will end 6/14/11 at midnight.

Voting for this round has ended and the like buttons have been disabled. You can watch the vids at 300 pixels wide, or click the icon and watch them full screen once the video starts.

NuuLife Cinema
Hailing from north of the border are the boarders behind NuuLife. John Swystun and company came into last year’s Showdown as underdogs and kicked ass all the way to the finals where they put up an incredible fight, but ultimately succumbed to Helgasons.com. This year, with the incumbents out of the event, Nuulife have to be considered favorites. Returning to the
Superpark® arena and performing once again for the Swystun’s cameras are Tanner Davidson, Craig McMorris and E-Man Anderson. Also appearing in this edit are Zak Stone who settles a cab double cork, Jon Versteeg executing an advanced ho-ho knuckledrag variation, Jordan Phillips tackling a long distance 1080 and Alex Stathis who proves that highbacks aren’t necessary
for high performance. Also be on the lookout for cameos from Sam Taxwood, Logan Short, Scott Vine, Stale Sandbech and Adam Chuntz.

Think Thank
Jesse Burtner and company have made some of the most influential snowboard movies under the Think Thank moniker for a long time, and the crew is back with a Superpark 15 Video Showdown edit that’s unorthodox and out of the box. And that’s exactly what these guys do best. Witness Ted Borland, Austin Hironaka, Scotty Stevens, Jason Robinson, Jake Kuzyk, Matty Mo, Jesse Burtner, Sean Black, Pat Milbery and a handful of others lap the Superpark venue’s tranny, trees, bonks, and jibs galore. And remember, if you think that Think Thank should advance to Round 2, click that “Like” link underneath this edit.

About Superpark Sunday Showdown
The Superpark Sunday Showdown is presented by Gatorade. This interactive contest is a weekly video faceoff where two Superpark edits go head to head with the victor being decided by you, the snowboardermag.com viewer. The entry that receives the most votes each week advances to the next round. All told, there are 16 film companies in contention, each with hopes of advancing all the way to the end of the brackets where they will receive the $5,000 grand prize courtesy of Gatorade. Keep coming back to www.snowboardermag.com daily to support your favorite vids.

tough one. what peeps prob don't understand is you have a few days to hit some spring shit so i think they are both interesting movies. NUU definitely has a higher level of riding. think thank wins the low impact riding style award. i liked both edits but would have to choose NUUlife as an unbiost. p.s. im not going to face book to vote. that site is gay gay gay

Nuulife's video was sick, Think Thank's was TERRIBLE. Yes, the music could've been better on Nuulife's video but that was the only problem. Think Thank's video was such horseshit. Worst effect ever made it annoying to watch, the riding wasn't as good, and the only saving grace was that it was so short that they didn't make us sit through more

i hope think thanks was a joke, i thought super park was about progression and a sick video edit which it lacked both'

Nuulife is sick because they prove you can be a crack smoking psychopath (andrew geeves) and still kill it on a snowboard and even do a little filming. But my vote goes to Think Thank because their video, like this year's Superpark, was a total joke. But that's sweet because im fucking sick of watching rich kids do triple backside nollie double cab quad million flips.

What the hell was that???? Thank you Think Thank for footage of lame flat land buttering noodle jibbing, while sick kickers and hips go unridden in the back ground. Lift your game!!! Thank you Snow Boarder Mag for publishing the De-gression (that is the opposite of progression) of snowboarding. I feel dirty for viewing this G.A.Y fap fap fest!!
