Tailgate Alaska: World Freeriding Championships Video

April 28

//

Tailgate Alaska and King Of The Hill (now named “World Freeriding Championships”) are a “Shreg-grola” for riders who are fed up with the saccharine state of modern snowboarding. For fifteen days weekday warriors camp out in Valdez, Alaska to celebrate a side of snowboarding that is anything but packaged and predictable. In other words, if you are a tourist who still finds comfort on the groomers instead of off the grip… watch, learn and start clearing your schedule for Tailgate 2012.

    kinda sad , winner’s run was good.but the rest ehh. I can understand all the gear riding with only a few possible rescuers but with all those people around is it really neccesary to geek your run with a backpack?
