There is no question that Travis Rice is a master of his craft. For the terrain he is riding, and the features he is hitting he has to have every step of the way planned out ahead of time, otherwise the consequences could be deadly. With that being said, it is no surprise that Degree Men® highlighted Travis as one of the 4 men in their "Masters Of Movement" series. In this video, launching exclusively on snowboardermag.com, Travis flies 90 miles deep into the Canadian Rockies to tackle an infamous backcountry arch known as the "Hole In The Wall". On April 20th make your way over to theadrenalist.com to see who else made the cut in Degree Men's "Masters Of Movement".

sick line but degree and the music is fuckin lame

Yep. Rice is always rad to watch and his abilities on a snowboard are matched by few. But, getting tired of major sponsors having their brand stamped on everything he does.

You guys do not realize that this video or trip would not be possible if these sponsors don’t stamp their name on everything.

You think travis is going to pay out of his own pocket for a 3 hour heli ride out in the middle of nowhere looking for a single line, paying for all that fuel, cameras, post-production?

We would not even get movies like “Art of Flight” if redbull didn’t pay for it all.

I’ll gladly take having to see a redbull logo on a heli every ten seconds if it gets us epic movies like that or gladly see a ONE SECOND stupid degree logo for cool videos like this.

This is absolutely one of the best comments I have seen in a long time. There is no question we as a society want everything now now now and for free. Oh wait this IS for free. Maybe the big films we see in theaters shouldn’t put their 3 second opener up either. sorry Bad robot, the viewers just “can’t stand” that 3 second intro. And shame on you for wanting to claim your work….that cost you millions……and took a year to make….

OF course I know, these aren’t the exact same, since we pay to go see a movie. But you get the point. SO just take a breather, watch T. Rice for a short minute, then get off your butt and go shred. I plan to right now….. later

I completely realize videos like this happen because of large sponsors..come on now bro. It’s not like Brainfarm funded the Art of Flight. Point is, as usual some of us get really burnt on non-snowboarding companies having their fingers dipped into our lifestyle. Art of Flight was sick, and it’s great Redbull has the cheese to fund that, but I’d love to see a day where a great video company like Standard or Brainfarm had some funding to do that kind of work from silent partners. OR, I’d rather see Rice and others alike doing some amazing riding within the normal specs. It doesn’t take Red Bull or Degree to get guys up to Alaska and you will find no better arena for guys to film next level riding. Just watch Noah Salasnek tear up some spines back in the 90′s from Standard’s TB series. At the time that was some serious next level shit and the only sponsors in those vids were real snowboarding companies.

I like to use Degree on my taint when I ride!! It works wonders for Duck Butter!!!

Who cares how it’s funded…it’s all about getting out there! I don’t buy more of one product or another because it’s sponsored. I think “lucky to be doing what many of us only dream of doing for a living.” Some people work full-time jobs to get out there on weekends or 1-2 week holiday a year. People like Travis are making it their full-time job. All that helicopter time and film crew cost money one way or another. Sweet line Travis; Craig would have been stoked to see it run. It’s not all riding. Travis works his ass off to do the things he does and have big money thrown at him. He has proven himself a wise man to get funded and ride like bat out of hell!!

luckily i dont care what or who travis rice is branded by, in the end he does this because he loves to so why not make some money on the side and get to do shit like this? anyone here bashing the sponsors/him would do the same thing so dont be dumb. about the video itself… mad cool, im pretty sure i could watch travis ride forever and not get bored.

Travis sold out, good for him.

Number one: Craig Kelly turned down 7 figure contracts to go shred on his own terms. No snowboarder to my knowledge has ever made such a bold statement. Secondly: Please don’t call anonymous riders ‘dumb’ when you use a term such as ‘mad cool’.
