Shaun White Lien

You've got to wonder if Shaun White has become such a rock star that he has a "rider." In other words, is he the first rider with a "rider?" For those who don't know, a "rider" is the list of amenities (i.e. demands) that a rock star expects to have waiting for him in his dressing room.

Aspen is in full swing as of tonight. The Winter X Games 14 Halfpipe was the place to be this evening as Shaun White, Louie Vito, Kazu, Ipod, Greg Bretz, Lago, Aono, Steve Fisher, JJ Thomas and others went at it under the lights. In the end, it was a diverse podium, unlike most of the Grand Prix stops that favored the American riders, which left us wondering if the tide has turned. Could this be a precursor to the emergence of the European/Canadian/Japanese (we’re not quite sure why we included the Canadians) presence in Vancouver? We’ll know the answer to that in a few short weeks, but tonight, we’re betting that Shaun White, Iouri Podlatchikov and Kazuhiro Kokubo are blacked out and face deep in some cougar cleavage right now.
