On the way to declaring which boards reigned supreme in our 2010 Best of Test, we tallied our totals at individual resorts to see which boards ruled the regions. Our visit to Mission Ridge, WA. was a frigid one, with temps lingering in the single digits throughout the day and some serious icy hardpack. Local shop soldiers headed out to the on-snow demos from February 3-5 to find their prime pick of the pack. With 2,250 of vertical shred zone to be accessed,  the boards that prevailed in the top three spots were all relatively well rounded freestyle or freeride models.

K2 BELIEVER

“Good for everything. A twin board that can handle speed but at the same time is playful and snap, crackle pops”
– Eli, Wintersport, (Spokane, WA)

“FLATLINE! loose like rocker, predictable like camber. Best of both worlds, perfect flex, buttery yet rippable, carves and jibs.”
- Larry, Snowboard Connection (Seattle,WA)

“Love the zero-camber action. Almost impossible to catch an edge. Playful on the flats, but nice pop in tail (carbon V) for loading up on jumps.”
- Taylor, Mountain Shop, (Portland, OR)

ROSSIGNOL EXPERIENCE

“Magne traction, early-rise tip, sweet look, what’s not to love? Held a great edge on the groomers, early-rise tip gave some great float in pow.”
-Taylor, Mountain Shop, (Portland, OR)

“Combination tech: Mag, Rocker in nose, Carve-ability, no fancy graphics.”
- Ryan, Berg’s Boardshop, (Eugene, OR)
