Best Snowboards of the Midwest

The middle of the country always gets a bad rap, and I’m not talking about Eminem hailing from Detroit. With frigid winters and considerable amounts of ice, Midwest shreds battle the elements to do the thing they love. On this uncharacteristically warm February day at Boyne Mt, partakers in the Best of Test soaked up the sun and wandered through demo tents searching for something fresh. The outcome of this stop put freeride and freestyle boards in the top slots, with 2 of the boards making the list as overall Best of Test winners.

“I really liked the feel of this board, it rode down super nice and I didn’t even get hurt on it. The board was super fun on a slushy day like today ”

“It rips and held an edge really well. With camber in the waist and reverse camber in the tip and tail, it’s super-smooth in and out of turns. It just killed it!”
-Rob, Summit Sports (Farmington, MI)

“Flatline technology—it’s crazy weird, it’s a whole new technology, but I like it. It keeps contact with the base the entire time. It’s solid.”
