This past weekend a major storm cycle swept across the West Coast bringing feet of new snow to resorts. Itching to get out and ride, the SNOWBOARDER crew packed up and headed out to Mammoth, Mt. Hood Meadows, Park City and Snowbird.

My story started last week when friends in Utah started hitting me up about the coming storms. In a last minute panic on Saturday the gear was packed and I was off. The first day was a full on storm with deep snow and poor visiblility. Day 2 provided better visibility allowing for some sketchy early season lines that probably should not have been ridden, but with 100 inches of snowfall so far, people were getting after it. This was possibly the best pre-Thanksgiving shredding I’ve ever experienced.

Two hours outside of SLC the snow started dumping!

The snow was still dumping the next morning as we boarded the tram.
