The premise for SNOWBOARDER Magazine’s Summer Games 1000 Meter Dash was simple. Twenty-five of the best riders in the world would start at the top of High Cascade’s lane on Mount Hood and the first one to cross the finish line in the halfpipe would be the winner. Things became more complicated when the course included numerous transitions, berms, slushy snow, and twenty-five of the best riders in the world jockeying for position.
