The football field isn’t your typical training grounds for a world class snowboard contender, but in the case of Greg Bretz, it works. Three years back, this High Sierra slayer from Mammoth Lakes, California swapped halftime shows for halfpipe airs and has found success tackling the competition one trick at a time. Though less-seasoned than his American team peers, Bretz hopes to blitz past his pipe rivals with exaggerated straight airs and various technical spins which includes off axis variations both frontside and backside as well as the requisite double cork. One thing Bretz has that the other riders don’t is an Olympic caliber cheerleader in fellow US Teammate/girlfriend/BFF Elena Hight who will be rooting him on from the end zone as she awaits her turn at U-Tube glory.
