After traveling the world, the I AM SNOWBOARDING / JLA art exhibit has made it’s way back home to Mammoth. Paintings are on display at a NEW location in the MAMMOTH LUXURY OUTLETS near Perry’s pizza. The traveling crate is on display in Wave Rave snowboard shop and The exhibit – which includes new art just for Mammoth – will be up for the month of May with limited gallery hours, but there are two nights that you don’t want to miss:

WAVE RAVE hosts a party to open the doors on Saturday, April 24th. The time is 6 to 9:30pm with beverages, snacks and sounds by DJ Bloo. On site will be a raffle / silent auction to raise money for the JLA fund and 2010 / 2011 winter JLA gallery in Mammoth. Prizes include a snowboard from Wave Rave, Mammoth Mtn. Bike park packages with Pro-tec helmet, package featuring art from the Gonz and Deluxe/ Krooked skateboards, Brothers skateboard park pavers, gift from Travis Rice / King of the Hill (to be revealed at the opening), limited edition art and more. Volcom Peanut Butter Rail Jam Championships are during the day on the 24th, Mammoth is getting more snow this week, so all in all a great time.

For those of you who can’t make it this coming weekend, the I AM SNOWBOARDING gallery will be open for a second reception on Friday May 30th to help kickoff Mammoth Mountain’s WEST COAST INVITATIONAL (WCI). Events for the weekend include the Eddie “Wall” Ride contest, WCI Rail Jam, and The Eagles of Death Metal. There will be a second round of silent auction items – this time featuring limited edition ASYMBOL prints from Mike Parillo and Jamie Lynn, 02′ Burton Blower Books signed by Jake Burton, Juxtapoz issues signed by famed artist and Juxtapoz founder Robert Williams, original I AM… painting from Susie Floros and Shawn Webber, and much much more.

Auction items are being added daily.
