Jeremy Jones Takes on Capitol Hill to Protect Our Winters

Team CLIF BAR athlete Jeremy Jones recently took his passion for Big Mountain Snowboarding to a smaller, but much more important hill—Capital Hill– to act as a witness for climate change and “protect the places he loves to play.”

Jeremy’s passion for snowboarding gives him the ability to see firsthand the effect of climate change in some of the hardest-to-reach places on the planet, and compelled him to start Protect Our Winters (POW), a foundation dedicated to reducing climate change’s effects on the “places we play.” Together with his sponsor, CLIF BAR, Jeremy created a short video documenting his recent trip to Washington, DC.

The video is available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNyyqtfvdyE

More information on Protect Our Winters can be found at: http://protectourwinters.org/

Within the Team CLIF BAR family of athletes, philanthropy goes hand-in-hand with performance, as competitors put their training to use for the good of the causes they support.

thank you jeremy for bring awareness to the snowboard community. too often i see people going out to ride and just destroying everything in their path. I'm tired of seeing people with the attitude "not my house so fuck it" just because you can't see people around you doesn't mean its cool to throw that can in the fire or litter.
