Overland Park, KS August 2010 – For the first time, Bollé is now combining the advantages of its state-of-the-art, light-reactive Modulator technology with a precision spherical lens. For the 2010/2011 season, two of the company’s best-selling models – Quasar and Fathom – will be available with these two performance enhancing features.

Bollé’s exclusive Modulator lens technology delivers a premium photochromic lens that constantly lightens and darkens throughout the day. The wide range of visible light transmitted – from 66% light to 26% dark – ensures wearers will have optimal view and clarity regardless of the amount of available light.

Bollé’s injected polycarbonate spherical lens delivers a wide field of view and unsurpassed optical clarity. These technologies combined gives wearers the ultimate viewing experience.

“Getting to the bottom of the run requires us to make a thousand split-second decisions in a wide variety of conditions, almost all are based on your view” said professional snowboarder and gold medalist, Seth Wescott. “Bollé goggles with Modulator technology and spherical lenses ensure your view is clear in all conditions so you can perform at your best.”

In addition to these high performing technologies, the Quasar and Fathom have a full complement of technical features designed to improve the experience and performance, including:

· FLOW-TECH® VENTING – Designed to prevent fogging by creating airflow over the inside surface of the lens

· TRIPLE LAYER FACE FOAM – Ultra-soft fleece on the skin and a better seal

· FORESTAY™ SYSTEM – Connects the strap to the frame with swinging outrigger to maintain a perfect fit with helmets

· EQUALIZER® – A waterproof, breathable vent manages moisture and keeps vision clear by maintaining air pressure
between the dual lens

· P80 PLUS/CARBO GLAS® – A proprietary coating providing protection against fogging and most scratches.

“With Bolle’s rich mountain heritage, we take great pride in ensuring our goggles deliver leading technology and perform in the most extreme environments,” noted Dani LaGace – Director of Eyewear. “By adding Modulator technology to our spherical lenses, we’re able to offer some of the most capable and sophisticated goggles available.”

The 2010/2011 Fathom and Quasar with spherical Modulator lenses will be on ski, snowboard and sport-specialty shop shelves before the snow falls and are priced at $139.99 (prices for non-Modulator models range from $99.99 to $129.99). Fathom has a small-medium fit. Quasar’s fit is medium-large.
