This season, for those who have been fumbling
with the idea of learning to jib, Mountain Creek is introducing its new EZ-Slide
rail program.
Mountain Creek's EZ-Slide rails were designed for the less experienced rider who
wants to hone their skills and move up to more challenging jibs. The program
features 12 new rails that are generally lower than two feet high, versus the
three to nine foot high rails found in the intermediate and advanced designs.
They are also less than 20 feet long and feature a wide sliding surface of five
to eight inches.
"We saw a need to provide less intimidating features that are better suited for
beginners looking to improve," says Shawn Orecchio, Terrain Park Designer. "By
creating rails that are easier to learn on, we help riders over come the initial
jitters and quickly gain confidence".
The EZ-Slide rails are part of Mountain Creek's 5 Uncommon Ground Terrain Parks,
which have been upgraded for this 2002/2003 season to include a brand new trail
and lots of upgraded snow features. Mountain Creek terrain park's are sponsored
by Specialty Sports, Palmer Snowboards, and Planet Earth.
