Aspen, CO (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 - Monster Energy dominated the podium today in Real Snow, the all-urban, all-video snowboard part event, with one of snowboarding’s most progressive street riders, Bode Merrill, taking gold and teammate Dylan Thompson taking bronze. Nyjah Huston, the world’s top contest street skateboarder, was there to present the medals and congratulate Merrill and Thompson. The strong results back up the medals Merrill and Thompson earned at X Games last year.

The X Games Real Snow event sees the world’s best snowboarders submitting 60-second video parts, with medals awarded by a panel of judges.

Merrill definitely takes urban snowboarding to a new level with his massive transfers, big drops over concrete walls, huge rails and unusual obstacles.

Thompson, known for his creativity and raw talent also put out one of the most innovative and gritty skate-inspired videos for Real Snow.
