Mervin’s Boxes For Days: Summit at Snoqualmie

Mervin Mfg’s Boxes for Days* Tour kicked off this past weekend at the Summit at Snoqualmie during a week long deluge of rain and warm weather. But as the event kicked off on Saturday it was warm and slushy…perfect conditions to tackle the 19 boxes Erik Baker and the rest of the Summit park crew put together. Think Thank’s Jesse Burtner held down the mic all day as Snowboy Productions’ Krush Kulesza handed out bananas, pickles, Coal beanies and t-shirts from Snowboard Connection. After 3 hours of box-sliding shenanigans the 257′ Main Line was completed 4 times and the twisting Deadman’s Curve line was bested once…and almost on cue, the rain began again.
Boxes for Days heads south to Boreal on January 22, then over to Sanosaka Ski Resort in Japan on February 5 and finishes at Waterville Valley on April 2. Stay tuned to SNOWBOARDERmag.com for all the dirt.
