Resorts around the country are experiencing the first snowfall of the season. We can’t wait for Mother Nature to puke up enough of the white stuff to strap in for some turns. Utah had an early surprise and photographer Zach Clanton hiked Alta’s Gunsight culoir to get the first pow shots of the season. Sit back and enjoy as we pray to the snow gods that this a sign of more snow to come.

All photos taken on October 1st at the Gunsight couloir at Alta, Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Alta? One of the last three holdouts getting propped in Snowboarder? What's the world coming to? Maybe someday I'll be able to ride Gunsight Couloir without persecution... But you're right E-tree, the fall color shots are awesome.
