Superpark Sunday ShowdownThe votes are tallied for Week 2 and it was an absolute blowout by the Think Thank crew. With an over-whelming win, it looks as if we weren’t ready to see a repeat upset like we did in Week 1 when Nick Khater’s Video Gypsy took down TJ Schneider and his Snowboard Realms. Not at all, actually. Jesse Burtner’s brainchild toppled JTR productions this week and will be moving on to the next round to vie for the $5,000 prize

Week 3 is now upon us and we have two more Superpark Sunday Showdown contenders, with Rubbish Heap going thead-to-head against YKWII. Vote for your favorite video and help them advance to the next round and potentially win $5,000 compliments of Gatorade. Voting is allowed each day, so check back to make sure your favorite is winning. Voting will end 7/2/10 at midnight.

What’s your thoughts about this weeks contenders?

Rubbish Heap
For those of you not in the know, Rubbish Heap represents the vision of filmer Jake Zalutsky. For years, Zalutsky has been a staple in the snow film scene, and since signing on with Flow, has had a hand in producing their team videos, such as last year’s offering Bad Reputation. The all black-and-white documentary style film showcased the Flow team on the road for six weeks, but Jake’s edit in this showdown is strictly from Superpark and not necessarily focused solely on his regular roster. Featuring: 2010 Winter Olympics bronze medalist Scotty Lago, Shane Fortier, Brandon Reis, Jeremy Thompson, Graham Hoffman, Kade Madsen, Chas Guldemond, Lonnie Kauk, Torgir Bergeim and more. Sit back, relax and enjoy Zalutsky’s edit and bask in the satisfaction that you are seeing the first and only time a Will Smith song will ever and has ever been featured in a snowboard edit.

Bienvenido a Mammoth.

YKWII Media
What’s better than seeing riders chuck themselves off a 102ft jump? Watching riders chuck themselves off a 102ft jump filmed from a heli. And that is exactly what Tommy Little, Ivan Marcinko and his Northwest-based YKWII Media did. Not so much That’s It, That’s All style, but instead from a remote-controlled helicopter. At one point, there was a rumor circulating that Josh Sherman was in the cockpit flying the thing in order to sneak in to Superpark, but Marcinko and his gang put that fodder to rest real quick. Even though they decided to leave the riders’ names a mystery, a few that we caught were Austin Hironaka, Niko Cioffi, Lonnie Kauk, Austin Sweetin, Tyler Flanagan (Benjamin Button), Sam Hulburt, and obviously a few others.

About Superpark Sunday Showdown

fuck this contest. what a FRAUD. If Snowboarder truly put on a fair contest they would explain the votes, and what happened. what counts as cheating and not? When 5k is on the line, there needs to be some transparency, not hide shit.

time stats mean nothing if the videos aren't the same length. but whatever, we all know who the real winner was.

to TheREALTruth ^. While voting was close all week, with Rubbish zooming to the lead late Friday, an interesting fact is that people watched Rubbish Heap 40 hours more than YKWII.

i agree and I think its a bit strange the vote swayed so much. i think we are owed an explanation. Snbdr... step up and tell the sour betties how the votes came in so strong. i monitored the voting for days. cheating is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. how is one to cheat? its a dam web voting poll. get over it... move on.

Online contests are always a joke....they prob went to a library or soemthing and voted on a bunch of computers....who cares this stuff is never fair

It really sucks that people have to cheat in this contest... Voting has been floating around 50/50 all week long, and in less than an hour, the vote sways more than 16 percent? How is this physically possible? Convernient its on the last day too. The cheating in this contest is a joke. Asking friends for votes is one thing, but this is on a different level. We must be talking hundreds of votes in a matter of minutes. I am calling BULLSHIT. Fuck Rubbish.

i don't think anyone could disagree that ykwii's edit killed you dont need to look past the first shot of both edits to tell that. Then the helli shots put the contest to rest. Only reason rubbish is so close is more people know their riders, but their riders couldn't even compare. No one could dispute this

By: Why hatin

June 30

All the haters need to put a diseases riden cock in their mouths and shut up. Tommy's a legit dude whos not hate on anyone. Both edits are put together well. If you think their shit, go out and make your own but until then just shut it.

By: hmmm

June 27

budsinbudzen - why bring that kind of hatred to this? Does how Tommy acquired his camera really have anything to do with the quality of the edit? No. This is not the place for that kind of trash talk.

By: TOMMY DOES COKE

June 27

the heli cam was very very very gay, but not nearly as gay as the rubbish edit living up to its name. Stick to what you know best boys, cocksmithing.

By: Fonzie

June 27

You Know What It Is!!! The "heli" shots were awesome, it had more variety, and it didn't have WIll Smith in it.

By: Jeff

June 27

Well, I didn't really like either (maybe YKWII a bit more), but I like Paul McCartney much more than Big Willy.

By: the Dark Canuck

June 27

Ima gonna have to go ahead and vote for em both. The rc heli cam was absolutely unfair, unnecessary, and ever so awesome. I mean really what it comes down to is Will Smith/ Joy Division (ps dead air is a no no) vs. Paul Mcartney....

By: haha

June 27

fuck heli cams

By: dogg'yers

June 27

Tough, but I'll ran with rubbish. Looking forward to the Helgasons edit now.
