Trick Tip: Cam Fitzpatrick – Boardslide 270 Out

Find a perfect down bar in a terrain park near you. Make sure you get comfortable with the rail by hitting it with a 50/50 a few times before. Once you are comfortable with that just get into a simple boardslide to switch. Really get the motions of the boardslide to switch in your head before trying the board to 270 out. Once you are ready for the trick, make sure you come into the rail with as much confidence as possible. When approaching the rail be nice and calm with your body positioning. Going up the lip to the rail jump and land on the down rail with pressure on the middle to the back foot. This will bring you into a pressed boardslide. This is an important part where the loading of the tail of the snowboard will make it much easier for you to snap and spin the 270 around. Once you snap the spin, keep looking over your shoulder for as long as possible until you spot the landing. Come around and stomp it clean. It may take a bit of practice to get the motion of this trick in your head but once you've practiced it enough it'll be a piece of cake. That's how to do a boardslide front 270 out of a down rail. - Cam Fitzpatrick
