Sydney, Australia (20th December 2012) – Australasian’s leading snow outerwear label 3CS Outerwear today announces the signing of world-renowned Snowboarder Heikki Sorsa.
Heikki is all about style, going big and being creative, which can be best seen through his many film parts. Heikki has also posted some epic moments in contests including when he boosted the worlds highest air at Arctic Challenge in 2001 or when he unstrapped his back foot to finish off his X-Games slope style run with a one footed fs 360. Heikki’s riding is something special… silky smooth with the balls of an elephant! He’s always finding new ways of expressing himself.
Most recently he’s been focusing on getting in front of the camera. Last season it was all about filming with best friend Eero Ettala for the Cooking with Gas webisodes. With a massive following right from the start, the boys pulled off an epic season with some of the sickest urban riding in Finland to pow slaying in Japan. Heikki, as always, will be pushing hard to get the shots that blow our minds. Be it urban rails or backcountrybooters, he’ll be doing it in the comfort and style of his 3CS Outerwear.
“Heikki is one of the most inspiring riders of our time,” said Jaye Botfield, 3CS Co-Owner and Marketing Director. “His smooth consistent style is translated from urban rails to back country booters seamlessly. To have one of the all-time legends join the 3CS family is a huge honor.” “3CS’s strengths have predominantly been in the Australasian market, however with constant growth, even in tough times, we are placing more focus on the global market. Heikki will be working closely with us on key areas and on further team developments. Everyone here at 3CS HQ are really excited to welcome Heikki to the family.”
Heikki responded “I've ridden with some of the worlds leading brands and know a quality brand with a big future when I see one. First touch to the 3CS products was awesome. When I put the gear on I was just amazed how good it felt and looked. Cuts were just the way I like them. With the quality and detail of my gear I know it can take a beating on the streets and will keep me dry and warm in the pow. I feel super happy to be riding with 3CS and love the family vibe inside the company. I'm stoked to get busy with 3CS and get some shit done.”
Born and bred from the Aussie Snowy Mountains back in 2002, 3CS is now 10 years strong and still spreading its good word globally.
From the demanding weather conditions in Australasia, to the gruelling elements in Whistler’s backcountry, 3CS has built its reputation on the back of superior quality and reliable durability.
“Our goal from the outset 10 years ago has always been to create the most innovative technical stylish and purposeful products that exceed both our and our customer’s expectations from day 1 to 100.”
The Australasian weather is some of the worlds most demanding on outerwear fabrics with -20c blizzards one day; 15c rain the next and the highest UV index ratings in the world. Every 3CS garment is built to withstand the extremities of these elements with fabrics that have proven to outlast its competitors.
With 3CS you’ll be warm and dry all day, everyday no matter what the conditions.
“We are damn proud of what we make and the way in which we make it. You can feel the shred love in every 3CS product. We want to share what we make with you, because you are a part of it.“
Enjoy being a part of the 3CS Collective.
