After an eight-year hiatus The Nixon JibFest resurfaced at Northstar-at-Tahoe during the spring of 2011 and Powder & Rails was on-hand to capture it all. Watch as Powder & Rails jumps back to the early 90’s and talks to some of the riders who began the jibbing revolution. This installment of Nixon’s JibFest brings together three generations of snowboarders who have all influenced each other on the biggest custom courses that have ever been built.

First conceived in 2000 by Nixon team riders JP Walker, Jeremy Jones and Dave Downing, The Nixon JibFest is an invite-only snow event. For three days-morning, noon and night, invited riders ate, slept and rode JibFest creating a memorable experience for an A-list crew. With the expert help of Snow Park Technologies’ Chris “Gunny” Gunnarson, The JibFest elevated the level of riding with custom courses and obstacles with one-of-a-kind and often feared features. After an eight-year hiatus, The Nixon JibFest made its return during the spring of 2011 at Northstar-at-Tahoe with 15 hand-selected riders including JP Walker, Jeremy Jones, Dave Downing, Joe Sexton, Simon Chamberlain, Seth Huot, Chris Grenier, Louis Paradis, Scott Stephens, Alex Andrews, E-Man Anderson, Laurent-Nicolas Paquin, Zac Hale, Brian Thein and Jon Cooley.
