Every year, SNOWBOARDER Magazine honors the best snowboarders in the world. The process for choosing this illustrious list has gone unchanged for over a decade. We take a jury of their peers who themselves have appeared on this roster in the past and ask them to cast votes for the snowboarders who impressed them the most in the 2012/2013 winter.

This year, our panel was composed of a variety of talent, from Andreas Wiig to Annie Boulanger and Hana Beaman to Ross Powers. Other members included in the voting were Jeremy Jones (big mountain), Pat Moore, Bode Merrill, Bjorn Leines, Lukas Huffman, Jussi Oksanen, Eddie Wall, Danny Davis, Halldór Helgason, Eric Jackson, Chas Guldemond, Marie-France Roy, Frederik Kalbermatten, Eero Ettala, Chris Engelsman, Gigi Rüf, JP Walker, Jess Kimura, Mikey Rencz, Chad Otterstrom, Nicolas Müller, Mark Sollors, Romain De Marchi, DCP, Dan Brisse, Scott Stevens, Danny Kass, Wolle Nyvelt, John Jackson, and Kazuhiro Kokubo, and they provided us with one of the best Top Ten registers in the history of this poll. In the 2014 SNOWBOARDER Magazine Riders of the Year video are the ten male and three female snowboarders (as well as other superlatives) whose hits and first tracks helped them top the charts and make some noise last winter.
