Last weekend, the season at Hawk Island Snow Park in Michigan began with the Haunting at Hawk rail jam. We would say something about the event being all tricks and no treats, but that would be really cheesy, so instead, we’ll let SNOWBOARDER Magazine intern and Michiganian Jeff Malin let you know what went down in the Haunting at Hawk photos and recap. I think many riders who find themselves in dedicated snowboard communities that lack giant peaks can identify with the heart that Jeff describes was present at the Haunting at Hawk, “there were good tunes, positive vibes, food, and heavy boarding. It was a true example of how Michigan does snowboarding; making something out of virtually nothing.” Hey, we’ll board to that.
