Kevin Kobasa passed along his season edit from last winter and while it has some loose clips it does a good job of showcasing the mid-Atlantic shred oasis that is Seven Springs, PA. How much fun does that bowl look. Open at night as well. At 3:55 check out the snowmaking tube that Kevin tackles. Lots of riders out west might not realize it but snowmaking pipes are both slick and gritty making them highly suspect to jib.

This guy is like 30 he still thinks he is going pro or something… Too bad he can’t just go out and snowboard like everybody else. Music was shitty and the riding was mediocre!

Shame on all of you, you know this is why I turned my back on this sport. Everybody has something shitty to say like whoooooo cares if you don’t like it? Why waste your time making somebody else feel bad and about doing what they love doing because your butthurt his edit is on here and yours isn’t? What a petty scene snowboarding is turning into. You trash talk him because he’s “brashaw” and that’s sooo last season so your saying he’s uncool because he stays true to his ideals unlike the rest of you tight pant sheep who jump onto whatever style is popular (lets not add that two years ago all of you copied dat magoon steeze too). Kevin is my blood and you know what he might not be hucking dubs or executing feverishly overpracticed and/or high risk handrail tricks but he loves the sport, has a great time riding, makes even the latest session radical because of his high spirits, and I’m proud to have him represent my home resort. To the rest of you enjoy a long life of bitterness and salt and I hope it gets you far in life!

Props to Kevin. Snowboarding isn’t about throwing the exact same tricks the exact same way as everyone else. He has a unique style, and though some of the clips in this edit aren’t amazing, it does showcase the very different way that he rides. If everyone on the hill rode exactly the same, it wouldn’t make snowboarding very fun. If people wanna hate, go for it, but chances are that you can’t replicate most of what this dude does. Yes, there are prettier edits with cleaner riding out there, but that’s not the point. It’s not about being “better” than other riders, or proving that your opinion of his riding is the correct one. That’s the issue I have with the majority of younger riders. They’d rather talk shit on the internet than go out and have fun on their snowboards. Shut the fuck up and go enjoy yourself. Isn’t that why you got on a snowboard in the first place?
