With over 200 attending riders there is no disputing Superpark is the largest annual gathering of professional snowboarders in the world. What those who haven’t been there realize is that for every three pros there is a videographer on the sidelines with his tripod in tow and extra p2 cards at the ready.

The video that emerges from the elimination rounds at the top of the bracket will win $5,000

Filmers from famed production companies like Standard, Videograss, Think Thank, Play Big, Red Eye and others log countless hours of clips and now SNOWBOARDER has created the Superpark Sunday Showdown, presented by Gatorade, to give these unsung cinematographers a chance to put their best edits to the test.

Starting Sunday June 13th, 2010 the most action packed, creative and just plain “super” Superpark video submissions that encapsulate Gatorade’s “All Day” mantra will be posted for public judging in a head to head elimination format. The better of the two weekly edits will advance to the next round. The video that emerges from the elimination rounds at the top of the bracket will earn its producer $5,000.

Though the official Superpark Sunday Showdown doesn’t begin for nearly a month, the entries have started to arrive including this teaser for Color Poppin, which is the entry being submitted by Johannes Brenning and Halldór Helgason of Helgasons.com. Though this is worthy as it is, trust us when we say this is just a teaser. How do we know? Halldór’s nollie double front off of the bottom jump knuckle has yet to be revealed!
