The Burton Academy at Northstar Trick Tip #3: The Frontside Lipslide
A Staff favorite, and one of the best sideways-sliding tricks to learn after you've built up your confidence in sliding straight (50/50). The reason this is a "Frontside" trick is because the rider approaches the box/rail on their toes, with the feature to the front of their body. It's called a "Lipslide" because the rider pops and rotates the tail of their board over the box/rail first. After clearing their tail over the feature, the rider will then land sideways and across the box, sliding forward, with their toe edge leading them toward the end of the box.

The Basic Points to Remember:
1) Set up on your toes, with weight forward
2) Move the body toward the box
3) Initiate the spin with your shoulders, and pop towards the box
4) Rotate the tail over the feature
5) Land sideways, flat-based, with toes pointing towards the landing.
6) Ride away clean, and go have fun with The Frontside Lipslide!

Dumb. You guys don't know what you're talking about. Eric- if you do a lipslide, coming on FRONT SIDE it's a frontlip. If you lipslide from the back side, it's a backlip. In case you are unaware, front side is the side with your toes. Troy- wtf is a "frontlip to a backside boardslide." It's either a front lip or a back board. Two completely different tricks. You don't say ____ to _____.
